Recently, several of us hardcore SC players have banded together to create the SC Usergroup. BUT I KNOW WE DON'T HAVE EVERYONE!

That's why I'm making this post. If you play SC, and would like to join in the fun with other OHRers, post a reply here, stating that, yes, you play it. Minnek, or myself (If we're both still the mods) will add you as soon as we see you've replied.

Don't miss out on this exciting chance to participate in contests and tournaments!

(PS: If you haven't played SC, or haven't heard of it, you should pick it up!! About 10 bucks for it, and the expansion in the bargain bin of most electronics stores! It's a great game worth playing!!)

(PPS: Don't reply to this with anything other than "Yes, I play SC and would like to be added to the usergroup" or something similar. As in, no "I played SC, but I don't anymore. Nice idea thought." or "nah, no thanks.")

You should really get it Setu. The game would be 230% better if you played because you are so darn cool (What a compliment.) It's really fun. Even after 5 or so years of it's release it's still a great game. If you have the chance to pick it up, do! The more people playing that the better.

Also, I don't like to join usergroups. But I guess I might, possibly.

Also, my announcement above goes for everyone. I agree with Jazz, StarCraft (TM) is a game that is a must for any Strategy game lover. The expansion isn't that huge though, all it is would be a couple more units, upgrades, and new campaigns and mapstyles. Just thought I should point that out.

Perhaps a better idea than a SC usergroup would be a general strategy game user group. That, I would join.

Disagree about the expansion. It helps a lot to balance out weaknesses and enhance gameplay.

The Valkayree adds a lot to terran anti-air, where before they only had the wraith, which was infinitely secondary to scouts and scourges.

The medic makes terran infantry actually feasible to use.

Lurkers own any low hp ground unit, and force opponents to build detectors quickly or lose.

Devourers are better anti-air than scourges(in some cases).

Corsairs help overcome the weakness protoss had in sieging islands fortified with defenses(unless you massed carriers), although they are a little too micro intensive.

Dark templars are great, forces the enemy to get detectors and even then they are high damage units.

You're all right in a way... However, I have to point out that there have been numerous tournaments going on with this "Star Craft". I played it and loved it for a while, and I am surprised it is coming back to popularity after all this time. (My brother can still kick all yer asses, Minnek.) it sounds pretty fun.

PS: Minnek and the rest are obsessed to the point where they are only doing Star Craft now. They must have writers block, or some kind of strange programer's block where they have run out of ideas. Now they JUST play Star Craft. What the heck! Go for it! Big grin

It seems at the time of posting this, I was mistaken!

To apply for a usergroup, click on the Usergroup link in the top right. Then, navigate around the menus to select the usergroup, and then apply.

You should be approved within a day or so.

If Minnek can get his "ethernet" (is that it?) to work on his other computer, I could play with you guys when I am at his house for a while while I wait for my dear father *cough* to get the internet for me. Then I will play more SC! Until then, I will practice (at Minnek's house)...
