well i was just saying that because a lot of people i know like final fantasy and im sorry if some of you dont like it. Maybe i shouldnt have said anything...

It isn't really that, Cloud. It's more a matter of so many people new to a game making engine all want to either make a Dragonball Z game or a Final Fantasy game. It's just old news to us that someone is making another FF game.

Personally, I'd like to see you do something original. That is always more interesting, to develop your own ideas and concepts, than just using stuff that was already established.

well its not really close to the storys of the final fantasys but rather just a mix of the characters and enemys. Its not going to be anything like the other final fantasys ( unless its like ff 3,5, or 6, ive played all others) so it might be new. I promise this will be a project to be finished. If it doesnt get finished, then feel free to come to my house kick me in the face a few times.

Even if you use a different storyline from the FF series, the game can still be very similar, and nothing exciting. Think of at least one unique attribute for your game, whether it be a mini-game or something else. If you use other people's scripts, graphics, and other stuff, what will make your game special? That's where you have to use your mind and make your own thing. Albeit much more difficult and, at sometimes, very frustrating, it will only improve your game.

Myself, I hate making graphics. But, in order to succeed, one cannot only do things that he/she wants to do.
