I don't like Airship 2600; its predecessors are so superior that I can't rate it highly. I mean, come on, Daranginal gets SIX plasma shells in this game. What the hell? Yauiopra only had two and she did just fine. Sheesh. That is so unbalanced. It's like Michael Jackson on the Mickey Mouse Club. |

Oh, fuck it.
Did you know that you can beat the chimp zombies on your own? I mean, without the old guy's help? Normally he lets you do a huge combo that kills chimp zombies like there's no tomorrow, but if you run off to the Third Level of the Tower of Zarach while looking for the Head of Osiris (it won't work any other time), you can learn that combo for yourself. When you defeat the chimps on your own, they drop Magical Gold-banded Cudgels, which have +32 atk, +84 mag, and cast the Monkey Summon spell when used as an item. They break after use, but you can always get more from the chimps. _________________ UP DOWN UP DOWN LEFT LEFT RIGHT RIGHT A B START |

I secret item fusion was really cool too, like how you could fuse items/captured monsters/weapons together. Flame Demon + Staff of Purity + Hand of Osiris= No freakin way man. Too bad I couldn't resurrect Osiris after using his hand to create that...thing, but heck, it was cool.

I used the fusion abilities to rebuild the pirate fleet. They're fighting Zombie Hitler's Zombie Luftwaffe over Moscow in my game. It's pretty awesome.
Though, my all time favorite part of the first half was when the Robo-Scots swarmed through the Space Station New New Hampshire and killed all the genetically engineered clams. The resulting counterattack from the Space Lobsters was also awesome. |

At this point, Airship 2600 makes about as much sense as Magnus. _________________ But enough talk, have at you! |

So he gets more ammo, but if you think about it, all of the characters are scaled up, as well as the enemies. Brannagin gets attacks that make most of the earlier abilities absolete, and Osiris gets practically infinite magic during Rage Explosion. I didn't think Apwregh was very effective, which is why people don't make many FAQs for him. His dual-techs are great right when you get them, but his charge-up attacks aren't worth the time. I know he was essential to the "Endless Quake" story, and I like his personality, but he's just not as effective in combat as the others (maybe his reliance on dual-techs represents how vunerable he is when alone?) _________________

You all think Brannigan's so hot, but did you know if you give Jessie the cufflink you use to make Brannigan's Collarbone, she'll join your group as a Swami-Pirate ninja? She totally rocks, too. Not many people I know of have found how to add her to your group, but it's worth it. Her Mega Death Bomb attack works like charm, especially against the Bloodthirsty Wombat tribe in the Southern portion of Hemos, plus getting her in your group also opens relations with neighboring countries, which then puts a whole simcity-ish spin on the whole game. She has the power to remold the other countries!
Sure, it doesn't seem like a lot, but if you spell, "Donut" with the cities, it unlocks the secret 27 Layer Hell zone where you fight demons, wraiths, and evil manta rays.
You all should forgo Brannigan and go for Jessie. |

The game just gets better and better. Zombie Hitler's force allied with Ikwakti, the Voodoo Prince, and are simultaneously fighting the pirates, Russian Defense Force robots, and a rogue group of ninja I hired with zombie SS and spear throwing zombie pygmies from deep within the jungles of Voodonia, which surfaced in Bizzaro Africa.
PS: The Bizzaro world is awesome. To get there, destroy Tokyo, New York, Berlin and Rome with the Orazzib ability from the 2600. A portal will open up near the Space Elevator, which causes Bizarro Antarctica's stormtroopers to attack. After beating them, you can fly around in Bizzaro world. Try landing in Bizzaro Japan, if you can avoid the tentacles long enough to find a landing site. Mobile City Detroit is also fun to play around in. In my game, it was tooling around the Laser Pyramids in Egypt. |

You know, I'm a bit surprised how everyone has failed to mention the fact that this is the first OHR game to accurately map out the entire earth from cubic centimeter to cubic centimeter, and to give it such detail to rival that of any photograph, and still manage to do it all with the 16-bit, 100 map limit constraints. I think that is what impresses me most about this game.
I mean just yesterday I had the main hero walk from my house to the Panera Bread up the street, where he bought the Cinnamon Roll of Doom and fed it to the Osiris Dread Club, who happened to be dining there (for those who forgot, they are the cult that tears off the fourth leaf of every four-leaf clover they find as a sacrifice to Osiris's left foot), and watched as they transformed into charter members of the Swedish Bikini Team. Unfortunately, Osiris's left foot was very upset about this, so it stormed through the front entrance of the diner and got a job as head baker so that it could create the devastating Shortbread of Reversal and in effect turn the sexy ladies back into the walleyed nutjobs with greasy hair and purple bathrobes that they started out as.
And that was after the mission where the hero drives through the streets of Miami in a Ferrari, chasing down Chavez, the kingpin of drug smuggling, in order to avenge the death of his partner Ace McKay. The thing I liked most about that mission was that it was set to the tune of the best music to come out of the 1980s...in MP3 format. It was definitely a toe-tapper. _________________ Progress Report:

And the music! MP3 support on OHR!! It's incredible. I'm a tad surprised that Nobuo agreed to do the soundtrack; the result is so amazing!

I didn't see a lot of that stuff when I played, but I guess it's because I had the censure function on the whole time.
Shadowiii tells me that the "Rivers of Love" spell I was telling him about is actually the "Rivers of Blood" spell in the non-censured mode. Is that true? I mean, it's weird to have an offensive spell called "Rivers of Love," but why would they just change the name? Or does the non-censured mode have an animation other than the teddy-bears? (I thought they were stupid)
Also, apparently I can't achieve the skeletal Black Horseman of the Apocolypse in the censured mode. I've been able to achieve all of the other horsemen though. Has anyone had this problem with the censured mode, or is it a secret in both modes, or something?

Oh man, just unlocked sound test mode, and I gotta tell you...it roxors.
To get it, first land in Bizzaro Tokyo. Then kill the NeoXNazies but LEAVE THE ONE WITH THE RED SHIRT ON ALIVE. Then use the timewarp and travel back and fight them again, but this time leave the BLUE SHIRTED ONE alive. Return to original world, and a fusion boss will appear (NeoZNazi). Beat him to get the boom box, which is sound mode unlocked.
Oh yeah, and has anyone figured out how to caputure a Uni-Zebra without destroying its glass horn? I've tried net+stun as well as leg traps+slow, but it keeps getting damaged. I'd just hit it with a capture box, but those are really expensive and still destroy the stupid horn anyway.
I heard a Uni-Zebra + Fusion Card gives you something really cool. I got the card (after playing way too many of that mini card game), but I need that @#%in zebra!
Oh yeah, Mr. B, Horseman of the Apocolypse is renamed Horseman of Rosehips, and he can be found in Fun Happy Garden (in the uncesnored version it is Hell). You'll have to get the Omega Drill to drill into hell, though, and those Arch Demons are way too hard to kill. _________________ But enough talk, have at you! |

Cyber Mola Ram is the hardest boss in anything ever. First off, he;s got stupidly high defense, because he's a robot. That's alright though, since I've got a good supply of EMP weapons, plus the half of the pirate fleet that survived the Zombie Battle over Moscow. Stukas are more powerful than you'd except, sadly.
Anyway, in addition to super defense, he also has a small army of cultist-drones. That ties up my pirates, and then he's got a small army of EMP shields around him. Wonderful. I can get past this, though it used up my nuclear reserves (Bizzaro India is now a raidated wasteland). Engaging in actual combat with him personally is the worst.
He has roughly 90 million HP, insane defense, more than that of the fleet battle, and can rip a character's heart out in two turns unless you do enough damage, which is out of the question.
ON TOP OF ALL THAT, he's got healing nano-machines. Any damage inflicted is instantly healed. Fuck that noise, man. |
