After seeing the impressivly fun battles in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, I hoped that James would update O.H.R.RPG.C.E. to allow similar features (With the help of plotscripts, of course) and it occured to me that it probobly could be done on a town map, or something, but I'm horribly ignorant and cannot bring myself to learn how. Anyone have any ideas? _________________ "Everyone has 200,000 bad drawings in them, the sooner you get them out the better."

Well, plotscripting is impossible to use in the built in battle engine, but people have plotscripted custom battle systems for the OHR. Worthy made one recently that's pretty good, with special attacks and a limit break-type system, and Tantalus Spade made Scars of Glory, which has a very nice custom battle engine. _________________ UP DOWN UP DOWN LEFT LEFT RIGHT RIGHT A B START |

In order to make a quality battle system, you need to have an excellent knowledge base of plotscripting. I don't know exactly how much experience you have with plotscripting, but my best advice to you is to learn and create several mini-games. By making mini-games, you force yourself to learn new commands and actually think about how to accomplish your desired goal. If you have any questions in particular, you can feel free to PM/e-mail/IM me. My e-mail address is: Worthy10188@aol.com.
Good luck!

If you told me about the battle system in ML:SS, I may be able to help you, but right now I can't do anything. _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

One button controls each of the characters in battle (i.e. A button for one character and B button for the other). Attacks are selected with those buttons. Pressing the button again at the opertune moment increases damage potential. The same buttons are used to dodge or deflect enemy attacks (a context sensitive defence). If both characters are concious then they can perform more powerful moves which require several timed button presses. _________________
