There have been so many contests recently I can hardly catch up! (of course, it is my fault for trying to enter them all, but still...) What happened to the good ol' 48 hour contest or those Epic Contests (I can't wait Pepsi, seriously Big grin), but there WERENT SO MANY.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LET US REST FOR A WHILE. While churning out quick contest games is fun, it is tiring and doesn't help us in our big projects.

Of course, we could just not enter, but then we'd be criticized for "not participating in the community," so what the heck? Plus, it isn't like the more recent contests have had a huge turnout. What, was it 4 for Halloween and 4 for human day? Only 3 teams have signed up for MCW's contest (can't remember number of hours...), and I know we probably won't follow through.

LET ME REST. TAKE A BREAK! CONTESTS ARE FUN, BUT THEY NEED TO BE PACED!!

AAAAHHHH!!! Oookay...

Yes, but he didn't use CAPS, thus making his argument completly invalid and uninteresting. Smokin'

The new year is always busy....

I'm sure more than 3 parties signed up for the 528 hour contest... I'll have a look (implying that I won't be back today)

I had planned to start the next Epic Marathon contest early last Fall, but you guys got a little crazy with the "Hey, here's a neat contest idea, how about if we..." so I've been holding back until this contest frenzy stops.

In other words, as long as new contests keep popping up, don't expect the Epic Marathon to be among the ranks.

And just for the record, last November I stated that I would try to get the Epic Marathon started sometime in February (or maybe it was January, I don't remember anymore). But I can assure you that now since we have the 528-Hour contest ending on Valentine's Day, the Epic Marathon probably won't start until March or April at the earliest. And again that's only dependant on whether or not the contest blitz is given a rest by then.

Believe me, I would very much like to get this one started, but I don't want to do it if the community is burnt out from the competition. Unlike the other contests we've had lately, this one needs more than four or five participants for it to be a success, so I will wait for however long it takes to get your full attention. For all the faults that the first marathon contest had, at least it had a decent number of entries, and I'd like the second one to have a similar chance.

So we'll see what happens in the next couple months. The existence of the next marathon will depend entirely on you guys.

Pepsi, the Epic contest is the only one I'm looking forward to. Why not try and collect contestants and then see if you have enough of us to complete the series? If not, just walk away man. I've no interest in the biography contest, very limited interest in the 528, and even as a contestant had only partial interest in the Human day contest. I would enter the epic contest, even having my animated short and my project with CN already being juggled, simply to see the games that would come out. Come on man, we've been in suspense for awhile now, and these other contests are never gonna slow down.

Come to think of it, I'm entering your contest right now. I think that if the people here are capable of falling in love with a non-existent game, then they're capable of recognizing the worthwhile contest.
