Joe Man

For the past few years I've been working on a game called Joe Man and I decided to start over. If anyone can help, please do. The story so far is the milkman in Limako ran out of milk and Joe has to go to the grocery store and buy some more. While he's there the store is raided by midget-like people who are after an object of utter importance. The story goe in a somewhat non-linear manner after that. Joe Man's intended to have a cheerful mood and very graphic battles, and a bunch of little minigames.

Read what I said before before you ask for screenshots and such. Like I said, I haven't done any real work on OHR since I started over. How am I supposed to give you a screenshot if there isn't one? I can't give you a screenshot, but I can tell you what it looks like: It's completely blank. 64000 pixels of black. Happy?

This makes you seem like a complete idiot JoeMan. I mean you talk about making a game, big whoopty do. And now you say there is nothing. What's the point in telling us? Everyone "thinks" up a game, but who goes through it all the time? Heck I've abandoned this several times, but never to post it on CP just to let people know "hey I am THINKING of a game."

Ah, but that is my reason for making it. I AM an idiot (depending on your definition of idiot). I'm merely working on the story because Joe Man (the game) is to be non-linear and it would be a shame to make up a non-linear game as I go along. While I'm at it, I'll just ignore this thread and make a new one, just as I'm doing with this game, which I realised I'm not advanced enough for, so I'll just work on another game that is completely about insanity and idiots. The problem with your post doesn't have anything to do with you asking for help or not having any screenshots of a game to show us. The problem comes when you combine both (actually, replace "screenshots" with "work"). You ask for help on this game, yet give us no indication as to the quality of your work in your stronger areas. Give us a better outline of the story than the five-sentence thing you posted up there, give us an idea on how the game will play, i.e. give us a reason to offer you our help, because making a game takes a lot of time and effort, and we don't want to waste that on a game that has poor everything or a game that won't ever be made or completed. We also don't want to make the entire game for you, but at least it doesn't sound like you're asking for that, unlike some others who ask for help.

Well, simply to say, you said that you haven't 'done any real work on the OHR' either, and that doesn't guarantee us you have had experienced yourself with it. I wouldn't mind to help sometimes, though we want to see you are experienced to help us make your game too.

Is response to your post, JSH357, Congragulations on guessing I'm a nerd! I'm proud to be a nerd because I hate everyone! Maybye I did post in the wrong... place, but it did say "For people to announce new games" (Okay, now that I consider the details, you're correct) So I shall repent. First, I don't use AOL (because I believe AOL is evil, just like Microsoft) And I was planning on posting some art later. Sorry.
Now since you said you were just kidding, I'll make an attempt to give info about the game through the art board by posting concept art. If you see a little hat in the bottom right corner of the concepts, ignore it.
