The main character is Nev (Just temporary name)
Basically Nev owns a sword. for some reason he must go kill a number of "Scary Things" (VERY temorary name). Each one he kills, he will gain a spirit, the spirit will enter the sword and give it powers so a FIRE "Scary Thing" Will give the sword a fire look/bonus. if he kills the fire and water "scary things" the sword will turn into a maelstorm...Etc.
Basically thats the overview of the sword-spirit thingy.

It sounds like an okay idea. I like the idea of the whole elemental absorbing sword idea. That idea hasn't been used much in games, and would serve a nice purpose in yours. I think it would work, providing you have the right coding. |

Lol i'm going to have to ask my RL friend Xaero to help me with the plotscripting. Scary things are now "Hosts" I think it fits their purpose. i'm thinking up their names now

Damamyro- Host of fire, appearance of a shining red knight.
Shinraya- Host of ice, appearance of a white clad woman.
Qwennzadre- Host of thunder, appearance of an old man.
Sintaro- Host of water, appearance of a mermaid type creature.
Depending on the order you defeat these Hosts different sword powers and spells will be unlocked. so if you defeat the fire host, then the water. You will unlock the spell Liquid Fire and the sword, Maelstorm. _________________ "Look at the young men fighting, Look at the women crying. It sounds like a pretty decent idea to me. It's not completely original but it could still work out pretty well. I think, however, that you need to think about this "Hosts" system with less relation to battles and more relation to gameplay outside of battles. Sure, battles are important, and this system integrated into battles would make for some interesting fights, but the system will almost go to waste if you don't integrate it into the rest of the gameplay as well. For example, using a sword that has been imbued with the Ice host can be used to freeze rivers, the Earth host can alter the ground, etc. I had a similar idea once, although it didn't involve killing anything to gain their powers, just involved powers that you possessed from the start of the game, and so that's where I'm drawing ideas from for you. i think you should just choose 1 game and stick to it, youv'e come up with tons of games just over the last month eg. spirits, browny, elven bane, that dragon thing that got deleted, the one about the jelly fish, and probably more
