Down the hatch!
Alright then...wait a moment...Ok, it has taken effect.
Be the first to control the lead PAWNS of the rivaling factions
in the EVOS game "Stenmele Osmium". In this short DEMO/Introduction, you get to play as the bad guys! They set the stage for the begining and you must "wear their skin". *Throws down another shot* ...yep....ok.
Do what ever it takes to complete your mission. Use your technological advances to take on any challange. Always follow orders and never resist
the will of your element leaders. Dr. Zorius who leads the Radium, Dr. Megaloke who leads the Titanium, and the young Dr. Mikels of the Osmium
will play a game with the planet that will test humanities faith.
*Taps into that good stuff again*
.......
Stenmele Osmium will have:
"Long blond hair,
Big green eyes,
world class breasts,
a butt that wont quit,
and legs that go all the way UP!"
...wait..thats a quote from Tremors.
*Looks at whiskey bottle...*
Id better wrap things up then.
It has been just about a year now since we started this project.
We are amatures at RPG making, and take pride in that.
I have visited CP on an off many a time over the past 12 months and have read reviews and played many great games produced here. This has helped us tremendously. The DEMO should be out shortly and I can't wait to get it over with. This is all the information I will give at the moment and look foward to your responses.
*Passes out* _________________ Initiate game advertisment NOW! Stenmele Osmium

So long as that quote from the Tremors doesn't actually describe any of the characters in your game then I look forward to it. _________________

I am surprised that this hasn't gotten more responses.
Frankly, I don't think anyone knows what to say. Sounds cool... I guess. _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

*Leans over half a bottle*
Well you know, at least someone finds it mildly interesting.
We utilized only what the OHRRPGCE had to offer and our plotscripter
is still new at it. I think we have a great story to share but our main concern is presenting it to where you understand what's going on.
Graphics I do not think are a problem, considering the limitations.
Gameplay will be all that the engine has to offer. We are relying almost
dependently on the story to grab the player. Ohhh..what a head ache I have. _________________ Initiate game advertisment NOW! Stenmele Osmium

If a plot scripter is relatively new to plot scripting, then I would be very surprised if game play is the best OHR can let you do... But I really like your no-worries attidude. _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

LeRoy, please...plotscripting doesn't equal gameplay. Look at some older games that have extremely good gameplay but lack any sort of plotscripting (Memoria, for example - though it does contain some fake plotscripting). I'm rather surprised that you posted a comment like that. _________________

Note that leroy said the best it can do, not that it's impossible to do well without it- but that it's impossible to do the best without it. _________________ "Why is it when they say an adult has the mind of a Sew, they lock him up, while Sews are allowed to run free in the streets."

I realize what he said. I still stand by the fact that you don't need plotscripting to do the best that you can do with the OHR (especially considering that it is dependant on the person in question - i.e. what Retro can do with plotscripting to make the most of the OHR is very different than what I can do, but I'm willing to bet I'm better at manipulating the default battle engine than he is, so we make the most of our skills to get the best of what the OHR can offer us), and gameplay does not equal plotscripting. _________________

Yea... I guess I kinda' worded that wrong. Yea, I pay attention in English class, but that doesn't make it right. I guess I just have trouble speaking in front of high ranking officials like Aeth...
In any case I learned something today! thanks Aeth! _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

Plotscripting has more uses in aesthetics than it does in gameplay. Plotscripting can basically affect gameplay by making minigames and makign custom interfaces(battle systems would be included in this). Minigames are a relatively minor influence, and interfaces *usually* make it worse. I'd concur with Aethereal here. |
