Is there a difference between your 2 versions of game.exe? _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

Well, Junahu made his game a shortcut like thing. (Sue me, I don't know what they are called yet...) and I like that idea. Whenever people do that it makes it easy.
Well, Cacti, I seem to be able to access this game, but the Game.exe with all of the other games in it is down for me. But if I don't have to go through Game.exe then I am ok... Wierd.
And I only have one Game.exe, by the way. His program is sepparate. Like the way we had it for the OHR comunity challenge a while back. For example: I could just double click the icon that was labeled ORHComCh.exe and it led right to the game. Sorry if that was hard to explain. I am not the greatest at explaining things...
But hey, back to Junahu!. Who else has played this game and what did you think?
I got yer back, Junahu. _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

Sorry did I put two game.exes in that zip? Must have been an accident
erm, all I did was rename game.exe to match the name of my rpg file . I picked this up when I was comparing the file sizes of game.exe to other exe files people distributed with their games.
I suppose I'll add a prelude to help explain what the two human characters are all about... _________________

Oh, so is that how you do it? That is the way it should be done. Then if Game.exe is not working ("fatal crash") then I -er- We could use that file to play the specific game we wanted.
On the other hand, it is pace consuming a little, as an entirely new icon would be added to your File area every time you download a game!

I'm getting close to another demo release (but it'll probably still be a month or so). Right now I'm trying to create a string of dancing jabbercat battles (It'll make more sense later I promise) _________________

Woot! That's cool. I wonder where in that silly story you are now.
And did you say "Dancing" Jabbercat battles? Won't Jabbercat be pleased. _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

If this game is based on the story thread, does that mean that anyone who was in the story, no matter how long or short their time in it, are in the game? |

Well, yeah. For every character that appeared in only one post, there has been at least one posted character that had no identity (ie. they appear, do something and leave again). Therefor, logic would dictate, that it would be simple to pair up minor characters with unknown characters, reduce workload while increasing the overall roles of the characters only mentioned once. _________________

I don't think it's a coincidence that you killed off the story thread. You've got a lot of game ahead of you. _________________ My name is...

Yea. I thought the thread was long enough as it was. Also it was complicating enough and I don't think it could have gotten better. It was a minor plague on the CP community (It was fun though, Jabber). So, I slew it. Thanks to the help of the Pringles deity and Junahu of course.
The story thread was at first a thread that was just for the fun of it, then Junahu got deeply immersed, nay involved in it. He became an Encyclopedia of all things in it (pretty much). And so he starts a game based on it. It should be good practice for you, Junahu. And that was the point of my posting in the story thread. To help push him along in story ideas. Sure we could have done it all via PMs, however, I thought some woodby newcomers or maybe some vets could help out too. Thus I believe the story thread was a good thing. It went a little far, but that's ok. It will indeed be a great challenge for Junahu.
A test of courage and proficiency. _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

Heh! You are lucky this story thread was so short... part 1 of LDARPG2 alone was twice as long, all of LDARPG1 probably twice as long again, and many message boards out there have story threads well over a 100 pages in length You had it easy... trying to convert the thread of RPG2 into a plot was impossible and we pretty much gave up.
Quote: | Scene Two: (posts 32-49)
A scottish man is eating a tea kettle, the tall man enters and stabs him. The tall man declares himself the ultimate villian.
The scene goes back to fester as he walks out the other end of the cave. Large elephant prints can be seen, heading right. The scottish man walks up.
.....etc |
Yeah, I know it's 2 different scenes.
