Ahoy ye scurvy...people...
This post is an official request asking for help from anyone who would be willing to design a reference map for the Second Annual Epic Marathon contest base story.
I am currently working to finish the descriptions of each continent that will be represented in the main story line of the contest games, but I have a feeling that the overall geography may be a bit confusing to some contestants, so I thought that a map outline might be a helpful resource to refer to during the design phase.
What I Need:
Since the contest will start in about three weeks, I would need some devoted individual to begin work on drawing the map as soon as possible. As of this posting, only two of the continents are textually complete, but that should be enough to get you started on the map draft. The last continent and the remaining areas should be completely written out fairly soon (well, they have to be, so yeah), hopefully by the time the first two continents are drawn, so there shouldn't be much lag time between what I have ready now and the finished document. And just in case my timing is off a bit, I'll give you a basic idea of what to expect for the final continent so that you'll be able to allow some room for it on the map image.
I'm looking for someone who enjoys drawing "world maps," though the map should be done in a paint program (or scanned in from a hand drawing), and NOT in the OHR editor. Think Lord of the Rings, not Final Fantasy.
The maps do not have to be incredibly detailed since the game designers need to be left with the option of utilizing some creativity in their works, but it should be complete enough to keep everyone's geography relatively consistent with each other.
Lastly, I would like the mapmaker to be an individual who DOES NOT plan on entering the contest. I don't want to give away any early design secrets, so please don't respond if you're certain that you will be entering. If you don't think you'll be joining, but change your mind after you design the map...well I'll just take the chance that you're firm in your decision not to join.
Anyone interested in helping out, please respond here. I'll PM the person I believe is the best for the job (and yes I do have someone I'd prefer to do this, but I'll wait to see if he/she posts a response).
For whoever agrees to take on this challenge, I will answer any questions you may have about the map layout, so don't worry about getting something wrong.
So thanks in advance to all of you who would like to help, and special thanks to the one who actually helps.
And for those who will be joining the contest...get ready. _________________ Progress Report:

Hm . . . I constructed an entire world (complete with politics, different races, money, language, etc.) when I was 13, so this shouldn't be hard. Hell, the only part of my game that's at all complete is the world map. I'll do this for sure. _________________ UP DOWN UP DOWN LEFT LEFT RIGHT RIGHT A B START |
