Recently, my computer screwed up. And, while loading Windows XP helped, all of my stuff was deleted. On top of that, I was rearranging my story documents in my website, and they were erased.

So let's see what I lost:

All my Scanned art...
My games...
My BAMs...
My Roms...
My graphics...
Urban Fantasy (I bet some people are happy)...
My stories (Get Furry or Die Tryin', My Furry Erotica, and my Ultimate Story)...
And most importantly...
MY MUSIC!!!! WAHHHH!!!! Bye bye Justin...

Anyway, don't expect much from me in awhile (Not like you ever did, but still)

On the plus side I have a clear aim at making my first complete, but short game. Also, I can make my new stories better.

What do you think about that? Sucks huh?

that better not be justin timberlake, if it is, i'm gonna be looking down on you for a very long time for that reason alone.

it's good that you've got plans on making a complete game, hope it goes well for you

Gee, that really sucks. My harddisk died a couple of omnths ago, but luckly I had most of my dearest stuff copied to CD.
I lost some of my avatars though.. and about 2 GB of downloads and movies.. WAHHHH!!! Bye bye Excel Saga...

The moral is: Always backup your things, even if its just your MSN messenger recieved folder. Some of my coolest stuff is in that folder.

I remember when this happened to me not so long ago. Fortunately FFH and TSSE were stored on Thellos and Leonardo's computers at the time so luckily I didn't lose those. Otherwise I *WOULD* have decided just to drop out of the community since my most important works would have been lost. Having to rescan 2000 pictures though was NOT pleasant by any means.

I'll just say what one of the admins (CN? Aeth?) said when my hard drive crashed some time ago. Don't let this get you down. Count your blessings, and use this is an opportunity to produce greater things.

I've had so many hard drive crashes that it's not even funny. I've gotten to the point that I back stuff up every time I do ANYTHING to any of my games.

What? You should backup your game everytime you work on it anyway. HSimport has killed my RPG file a couple of times and screwed up my backup scheme as well, so now I backup my backups.

Fortunately I'm pretty good about backing up my stuff, although I am due for another backup.

Also, I hadn't noticed this part until HG quoted it, but on the loss of "My Furry Erotica;" That's probably a sign from God.

Yeah, God must've wanted it all to himself.

That could seriously be taken out of context by some people to mean that God him/her/itself is a furry.

Damn that sucks, sorry to hear it. I remember about 2 years ago when I was working on my first game. My aunt came over and decided to come in my room and defrag our computer, resulting in all my OHR game files being erased. That game was a piece of junk, and I was very mad of course, but at least now i'm onto a new project that started better and I've been working on 14+ months now. Its a kind of silver lining type way to view things I guess. Yep, good luck on any new project, by the way!

That does suck. That's why I always keep backups of everything either on my webspace, or on my laptop that's no good for anything but storage.

DEAMN! That's a lot of work to catch up on. And does the destruction of your story mean I wont get to finish reading it? Crying

I am dealing with a crisis like this too (Y'all prolly heard that about two or three times already)... But I held on and now I am close to victory over my stupid computer. Like some of the other guys said, don't quit. Restart and you will most assuredly do a better job than you left off with. The second time is the charm. I know we all know that from experience.

PS: Backing up your backup files. Now that is in light of a rather serious problem...

That sorta relates to something I believe in. Whoo-hoo... if God is a Furry... Life is messed up... Love is cheap... and so are you...

Anyway, I am going to keep this topic real, and say that I am totally focused in my new game. It's going to be very short, have lots of furries, but in the end, it's going to have a good moral. Well, kind of. I actually am implementing a cool collection system, where you find little charms and as you collect more, you open more doors to the best equipment. Nothing much, but kind of neat.

And I agree with LeRoy totally. When you have to restart, things due tend to get better.

And now, I can make the bSt stRE vR.
