I've had an idea for awhile for a contest where the contestants have to make the worst game they possibly can. The only rule would be that the games can't be bad in a way that prevents the player from beating the game. The prize would be artwork for your terrible game by yours truly.

The contest would run for 48 hours after it started because the 48 hour contests have uniformly turned out some of the best short games on the OHR.

The voting would be simple, everyone votes once for their favorite game. No extra points for Dragonball Z characters, none docked for late entries (Though people can only vote once, so turning your game in before they cast their votes would be a better idea).

Would anyone want to participate? If I get about five people saying they'd participate, I'd start the contest immediately.

I'll participate if the deadline is sometime that isn't in April (as I am working as hard as possible to finish Stop before May, though it probably aint' gonna happen. Stupid game just HAD to be LONG. Geez. Raspberry!

What happened to the rules that the game must not be homourously bad, or at least several minutes long?

Heh, yeah, everyone votes for their favorite, the one with the least votes wins.

And I abandoned the idea of "No Humorously Bad Games" because one of the best ways to show what you dislike is through comedy.

Okay, maybe I won't start the contest immediately.

Here's a better idea. Everyone joining, tell me when would be best for you to start, and I'll send you the file for the contest. Then you have 48 hours after that to turn in the finished game. A few extra hours won't discount you at all, but every twelve hours will add a point.

Would a two man team be allowed? If so, I'm definitely in. Otherwise, I'm only 99% in, and my game will be even more awful. I've got a real good idea, something I've been stewing for awhile that's perfect for this. Another question: Does the entry have to be publically released? I'd rather not post it on the gamelist, but rather have a screening process for those who play it. Naturally, the Contestants and Gilbert would automatically fit the requirements.

EDIT: Oh yeah. I'm ready whenever.

What a horrible time to be grounded! With three contests I wonna enter I don't know how I will be able to manage! I will do my best to try and enter. If you could, make it some time after June 1st, because I will be ungrounded then and back online at home. Because, I can shoot out something horrible that is fantastic in less than 48 Hours. Ha ha ha!

Ummm... I really want to join though. An interesting idea that I am sure we can all learn something from. Lets vote for the worst game, right? As long as it isn't rediculously bad. Like some guy walks around and falls through the floor infinitely. Hey, that's a good one!

Well it's your game so you don't have to release it to everyone if you don't want, but I've decided to have people vote Worst Game and you might get fewer votes only showing it to a select few people. But sure. And yeah you can use a partner too.

Leroy - that has been done before. OMGTITROXORS - one of the worst games in the list.

I will enter this contest, spend roughly six minutes to complete my entry, and make the absolute WORST OHR game ever. Or the shortest. And I hate using 'premade contest files' since they're usually set up to NOT work very well anyway. Hmm... most newbie entries completely miss that part. Best to parody that too :D! It will summarize quite nicely most people's ultimate experience with Newbie games. I look forward to its review.

Magnus beware.

Edit: I do reccomend you host this as soon as Inferior Minion fixes the file uploading for the gamelist, or at least the subdomains.

I'll probably just import a specific backdrop that says "DON'T OVERWRITE ME" and make it one pixel different for each persons file
