I just formated and installed Windows XP. Now, when I run custom.exe, i get an error. The error is:
Path/File access error in line No line number in module CUSTOM at address 059D:27EF
Hit any key to return to the system
I got this error before, but I've been away from XP for so long using 98, that I cant remember how I fixed this... |

i hate WinXP as well!!
to solve this problem, i think it's something along the lines of moving the OHR folder to a forlder that has no spaces in it.
like C:\OHR
i'm not sure on this one, but that's what i did before moving to Win2k _________________ If we were a pack of dogs, IM would be a grand Hound, CN would be a very ficious little pitball, and Giz...well, it doesn't matter breed he is, he'd still be a bitch

But there has to be another solution... I didn't have to do that last time... |

That's interesting, because on my brother's computer (an XP comp) it is on his desktop with some name like "Super OHR" or something and...it still works.

i"m having the best results by having OHR in its own partition.. I'm even considering installing win 98 on that one.
But there's a thing with WINXPK that's driving me nuts.. OHR tends to get a lot of freezing.. I wonder if it's the dos memory allocation or what. But it will freeze for seconds (sometimes persistantly, and sometimes it freezes up for good) |

i think it's the dos memory allocation that WinXP is giving to custom/game. since both WinXP and Win2k emulates DOS, instead of going into true dos. it'll mean that it's using system resources to run it, so your system is incredibly slow, low memory or just plain playing up.
putting OHR in it's own partition is an incredibly great idea... but i find it a waste of hard drive space (since my hard drive only allows a maximum of 5 partitions) _________________ If we were a pack of dogs, IM would be a grand Hound, CN would be a very ficious little pitball, and Giz...well, it doesn't matter breed he is, he'd still be a bitch
