Roughly January or February of 2003. MulticoloredWizard pointed it out to me. At the time the two big OHR community MV sites at the time were Renzokuken v1, and Castle Paradox. Of course, I used both, until Renzo tanked and became a general discussion board. |

Well, i really have a hobby of downloading freeware game making progams. I'll settle with one but always fail to finish the game. Then I was surfing the net one day and found hamsterrepublic, downloaded it and saw CP on one of the links. It was on valentines day.
Those were the days... enough to make a man cry. _________________ The man who smiles when things go wrong has thought of someone to blame it on.

For CP - I remember being in #ohrrpgce when they had a link in the topic about O:OHR's archive. I wentzored and then one day decided to cut off the archive.. stuff. That is why you see me as one of the first.. I dunno, ten users. *shrug*
For the OHR - I think I found it at the middle of third or fourth grade(something like 5 or 6 years ago). All I know is it was some time around May or June 1998. I was a bit of a stalker on the forums because I just read everything. I didn't post till around August 2k2, where I looked like a complete idiot but started to redeem myself within the next 4 months(only took so long because I had no internet for that time). |

One of my brother's friends showed me the program. That led to the Hamster Republic, which led to Zantetsuken, which led to Renzokuken, which led here. _________________

Well, I stumbled across the OHR around 5 1/2 years ago (About November 1998)..when I was looking for a method to make games easily...and made a couple of really crappy games, one in particular, but none of them were ever released.
I also used to hang around "Help-Me" for a bit, as well as #OHRRPGCE on the rare occasion (This was about early-to-mid-2001)
Joined CP in December 2003...after about roughly a year's absence from using the OHR...found it through the HamsterRepublic site. _________________ Current Projects:

got introduced to the OHR 5 years ago, was a stalker in the zante boards until 3 months before it shut down and burned to the ground.
decided to go the the #OHRRPGCE chatroom in late 2001 to early 2002. began learning plotscripting to a higher level, and improved my graphics skills since then.
of course, not many of my works has ever been shown until recently CN, Giz and I formed a team. That was when my true colours began to shine. _________________ If we were a pack of dogs, IM would be a grand Hound, CN would be a very ficious little pitball, and Giz...well, it doesn't matter breed he is, he'd still be a bitch

2 years ago tops. I was becoming sick of getting nowhere fast with flash 5, suddenly the OHRRPGCE appeared on my laptop. 6 months or so ago, I went to upgrade the engine and saw a link to CP. _________________

I ran into Hamster Republic about three years and five months ago, where I first found the OHR. I don't remember what exactly led me there, but I'm very glad whatever it was was in my head at the time.
I didn't run into CP until April of last year. I checked HR's links page and ran into CP on it. I visited CP and joined it. I didn't actually post anything until July, though. _________________ Gyu, Doh! |

Back in 1999, I was scanning the internet for an RPG maker program, which was where I found the OHR. It was the only easy program with limitations that I could live with. For a while, I made games up until 2001, when I discovered Operation: OHR, and posted some games in there.
In early 2003, I found Castle Paradox and became a member, later changing my screen name to Setu Firestorm in CP. _________________

for OHR: First showed up in the OHRRPGCE irc room some times back in 1999 as "Garfield2", since I could distinctly remember staying up on the millenium New Years eve working with the OHR. Left sometimes during 2000 when something messed up my computer and made custom not work. Spent a year using the RM2k. Returned some time around early 2002, when I figured out how to make the OHR work again on my home computer.
For CP: Don't remember. Inebriation is my best guess. _________________ im realy ded |

Two or three years ago, I was looking around for free games online, and I found the OHR in a game maker section of some DOS games site. It was only a few hundred k, and I had dialup at the time, so I picked it up. I came across Operation:OHR through the Hamsterrepublic OHR homepage, first visiting during its last days/weeks. Later, after noticing that Op:OHR had been down for quite a while, a new link appeared in its place on Hamsterrepublic, and thus I found CP. Took me a while to actually register on the forums, though, as back then I was afraid of the Internet. |

"back then I was afraid of the Internet."
Jesus, I am scared of the internet even still. People scare me with crap like goatse. You had a right to be afraid, son. >.>
"Spent a year using the RM2k"
You have my sympathies...

I'm sorry it's my fault you couldn't finish TSSE yet, heh.
That reminds me. What happened to White Owl and V5. |

Nah, don't worry about it. If I had to choose between completing a game or having a group of people who I can just hang out with and have fun, I know which one I'd pick. I firmly believe that the OHR is the best RPG making community out there just on the basis that most of us are willing to be a friend.
Fyrewulff: I.. I feel so loved! <3
Besides, for me doing either is time well spent, so it's not like I'm at a loss. |

about 4-5 years ago (not sure though) was when I found OHR.
I was at downloads.com, I found EOTE2 and Fat Frog, i noticed they has similar menus, battles, etc. Read teh readme, went to HamsterRepublic.com, got it. I still have that old file of it on my computer, I didn't replace it with the new one, instead I made a new folder for the new one. I like older games.. sometimes.
CP was just on HamsterRepublic. _________________ *VW has left the building* |
