Hey everyone. Im Paul Kahn and I am one of the three owners of RPGspOt. Its a company we developed last year after programming with OHRRPGCE for about 4/3 years. We have made some pretty decent games and have decided that it is time we announced the soon to be released titles. They are as follows :
Dafalos : The Three Kings (Made by David Kale)
Winterfold : Revenge of the samurai (Made by all three of us)
The Creatures of Chilbine (Made by Paul Kahn)
DEMO's of all these games should be released withing a week. I promise right now that they are exellent quality games. They will take most of the games here down. (No offence to those creators). But I still realise my place in the society and know that there are still a few games that beat us...
But I want this release to be big and for people to anticipate a huge new scene into the OHR world. Be prepared for us _________________

Hey, I wanna be the one to say welcome
So, welcome!
Cannot wait to see your games, and hopefully they are as good as you say they are, there are few games on this site that don't have competition. maybe you will be the one to compete with them.
Unfortunately the majority of the games in here are kind of weak, so don't let your be like them.
few pointers to help you out, graphics don't make the game(although they if they are good, it makes the game better) the story does.
and if you got good story, and gameplay and graphics as well, you will be good to go. _________________ Try my OHR exporter/importer.

thanks Ysoft_Entertainment for the warm welcome
I hope Our story lines are good. I can tell you that David Kale is working on a really good one and also shares your views on what makes a game. I hope im not being too arrogent jabbercat, I only mean to say that I think that, from what I have seen, most of the games here are going to be squished by our games... you have to agree with me! come on.
I did say though that I realise that some games are still going to be a better competition than us. So sorry if I sounded arrogent
But I hope that by next week they shall be out and RPGspOt can begin in a relationship with the Castle Paradox RPGers...
Thanks guys _________________

The best thing to do, in my opinion, is to not come out and say, "My games are going to kick your games' butt" only because if your games are lacking (and more than likely, there will be areas in which they will), not only does that make you look like a jerk, but very many people will use your own words against you.
I am looking forward to see your demos. I just hope they live up to the hype you're trying to create. _________________

Ok guys... sorry for the arogent comments and all, but I do think (from what I've seen) they will be good.
We have been working on them for a very long time.
Winterfold we have only been working on for about 2 weeks now, but I feel that it is really very good for that period of time. It has about 20 plotscripts already.
One thing to note will be the cool menu's at the beginning of the game.
Hope you guys will like them. And I see your point Setu, Im very ignorant of such things. _________________

While this post is nice and everything, it would help if you gave us some screenshots before declaring your amazingness.
And you don't need to PM me telling me you posted a thread. I check the forums regularly and reply a lot as well, so I rarely miss anything. _________________ But enough talk, have at you! |

Don't mean to be rude or anything, but your grammer has gone a bit downhill lately Leroy Leo.
whoops! That sounded really nasty. Oh well.
[picks idle conversation with RPGspotkahn]
so... how big are these 20 plotscripts? What do they do? Are they all cutscenes? etc etc... _________________

Well, Here is a list what they are for :
*Menu Processing
*Battling (Special Method, after the battle something has to happen)
*Ordinary Cut-scenes
Thats about it. Its a very small game and for the size its very impressive on the scripts.
David Kale's Game on the other hand is a rather big game and has NO plotscripts whatsoever. He doesnt know how... and his PC doesnt, for some reason, support them.
But it rocks anyway! _________________

umm.... all PCs with a text editor should support plotscripts, it doesn't matter what PC you have. _________________ Try my OHR exporter/importer.

First of all your screenshots have to be online.
Don't use geocities or angelfire for storing images. Go and register to somewhere like www.photobucket.com
next type in the web address of the image in your next post. Surround the address with img tags like this;
[img]www.sampleaddress.com[/img]
and that's it. _________________
