I rather enjoyed the Winterfold preview/demo thing, not bad - especially the graphics. I look forward to seeing the releases of these other two games you speak of. ^^ _________________ * SDHawk has joined #Minnek

I must say, this showed some potential. I was TERRIBLY disappointed at the length of the demo though. It's almost hurt my opinion of the game, when it grabs my attention, and then two minutes later "DEMO OVER". I do hope that when you next release games they're a bit longer, because they show a helluva lot of potential. I'd just like to see more than the potential. (And as for the IRC Server, Activity usually is high from Midnight EST, to around 6-7AM EST. At 8PM you can get lucky, but there's not usually a whole lot of people in the day, maybe 3 or 4 who don't idle. [Trust me on this, I'm an expert])
PS: Keep being arrogant. We need more arrogance in these parts. And your company's already heads and tails over most of the others. (Well, two or three of 'em are still better. Not to count designers who aren't in a company, who could probably own us all one handed) |

Fwahaha, if by activity you mean Minnek, Flamer, you, and me having gay orgies, then I will agree there.

WOW thats 50 downloads already (2 days)...
I hope that is actually something good... Im not making a fuss for nothing am I?
Anyway... I'll try join you guys on the chat... but could you please put the time it would be best to go on in GMT +1 time... Please...
Im not to good with all this technical stuff of what you were writing.
Thanks for all the positive talk... most just tell me how much it needs improvement... But you do realise Gizmog that the game is only about 1 % complete... I just released it because I though it might catch peoples eyes and they may be anticipated to get the next release.
Thanks guys _________________

like I said in my reply, the graphics need outlining, the reason for that is that the walkabouts tends to blend in with the floor tiles inside the how, you can barely see the face in the houses.
other than that, the game is good, especially the way it is designed.
just thought of helping out. _________________ Try my OHR exporter/importer.

Technical stuff? Its about 1 pm GMT time now, but your online.. but not in IRC. 1am GMT is not a good time for me, and most of the room is empty. _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

Okay, this is a little late in coming, but...
The opening in Trailblazers is not that complex. It's similar in manner to other OHR games I've played (only, with bigger sprite animations). Most of those tricks you can pull off with tileset and sprite swapping... and a little ingenuity.
How you present it is the main trick, really. =p
And Rolling Stone is right... I am a very, VERY picky individual! This is especially true for my own games: Trailblazers has a long way to go before it'll meet my expectations.
Hope that answers everything... keep at the game. ^_^

Make sure you save those and give them to me, Retro.
Oh, and Retro's not kidding about Trailblazers being changed a lot. I've played two of its betas. They were pretty leet though, if only a bit buggy, heh. |

Ok, I havent played the new one yet... only the old... is it any beta?
*excuse the pun
Anyway... I worked on Winterfold a lot last night... adding a whole new town, im going to try make everything possible interactive with plotscripts and all... if you think about it... the small beginning section having 20 plots... what can i do in a big town like the one that is comming soon?
Thanks
P.S
Keep those comments/critisism comming in please... I have already taken notice of it and changed a few things in the game. _________________

Sorry to say, I didn't like it. I really didn't like the snow tiles (sorry Shadow) or the battles. The graphics are average. I most likely couldn't do any better, but thats my opinion.
PS. The south African accent would make you say beta bet-ah as where some accents (Southern American states and south England) say it bay-ta. Sorry for being pretencious |

Dont be sorry jabbercat... I need critisism... its what makes a game better... infact I love it when people have problems with my game... like the snow for instance, now I know... it has been confirmed by 2 people, that I should change it and maybe make it with a bit more blue.
Thanks for the post jabbercat...
