|
|
Please help me!
My laptop doesnt run sounds of BAM for some reason... Its windows 98 and it should sound perfect like my other Desktop PC, but it doesnt... Perhaps its got to do with the sound card... but I dont know... Other sounds run perfectly.
Please recommend any sound emulation devices or anything else that may help me be able to hear the sweet sound of Setu's music
ALSO
Is anyone else having the same problem? Could be interesting... _________________

A lot of the newer soundcards don't support the format BAM uses. Fortunately, there's a good program that emulates that format. Grab it here: http://www.ece.mcgill.ca/~vromas/vdmsound/. |

There's no need to go out and start telling everyone about VDMS, everyone knows about it. Every win XP and soundcardless OHRRPGCE user in the whole community has it. _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

I have that problem, but last time I checked VDMS never has worked with win98 users so if you did find something that worked tell me! _________________ Gyu, Doh! |

There is a semi-unofficial port of VDMSound that works on Windows 98. It is a little more difficult to install than the NT/2K/XP version, but it works.

... I should add that to the soundcardcompat page.... |

I really should try and get that. But my computer has a virus and prevents me from downloading stuff. And I have no virus protection. Anyways, as soon as I can, I'll get that file. _________________ ---------------Projects----

Search google for an online virus scanner. They really are helpful if you can't afford Norton (or your parents bought it for every computer EXCEPT YOURS. ) _________________ But enough talk, have at you! |

I've heard that's a pretty good scanner. But if you can't download I'm not sure if you can run this or not. |

2000 KB isn't that big. That's almost 2 MB, and I think FFH is something like 2.8.
Besides, I uploaded an 8.4 MB zip before(only temporarily), and nothing went wrong there. |
