check it out if you haven't seen it already, and tell me what you think.

Contains extreme use of ripped graphics, the only thing thats original is battle backdrops, attacks and tilesets(I did these myself).

so tell me what you think

Umm...might want to correct that link. It's the link to Edit your game. So unless you want me to be tempted to edit it, since as an admin I can, then please change it.

(((Inner Setu: You have no idea how hard he's trying not to. Raspberry! )))

Setu, as an admin, it's your job to fix errors on the board.
PS: You're remaking it from the GBC version... boo!. NES Forever.

The NES had the first Dragon Warrior, and since it's on the NES, I am a whore of its music and graphics.
I've actually never played the GBC DW, so I was just joking, heh.

BTW
(07:40:53) Setu_Firestorm> Then I wonder why MCW's being picky about that.
I'm not being picky about it.

(07:42:22) Flamer> i kinda MCW differently, ever since he started coming on IRC more often...
(07:42:46) Flamer> i'm starting to see him as a gay-cyber-sex-addict for some strange reason...
(07:43:09) Setu_Firestorm> I think that's what he wants everyone to think of him
(07:43:26) Flamer> heh
(07:43:40) Flamer> he's doing a pretty damn fine job of showing that...
I'm going to kill you.

A few things I noticed after playing for a very short time:

1) Since you obviously have some skill with graphics, it should be easy for you to add some shading to those sprites. It would make them fit better with the maptiles.
2) No music?
3) Only allowing four letters in the name sucks. DW1 let you have way more than that.
4) After I left the throne room I talked to a soldier next to the stairs which caused an infinite text box loop.

EDIT: Apparently I didn't miss much. Seems like this is just a graphical demo.

5) The road in the battle backdrops looks weird. It should either be much thinner at the horizon or just not be there at all. It also looks weird to have the enemy placed at the horizon.

Ha ha ha! Khan... Do not invoke the angers of MCW and piss CN off for spamming.

Anywho, I played the game too, and the graphics were the good, old school type so many here like. The game play is so far incomplete I understand. There were pretty impressive map designs in the towns and the castle. The battles were interesting. They emulated a style where the hero graphic was hidden because it is first person and you can see the enemy looking straight at you in front of you. Me likee. Big grin

I hope you are trying to get the music from the original DW1. That would add to the classic atmosphere. (I have never played DW, and I am sad because of that)...

Can't wait till a fuller version comes out.

For the record, the NES and the GBC versions of the original Dragon Warrior are very similar. The GBC has cripser graphics, and the battle backdrops and menues are a little different, and the spells are renamed as well. Other then that, it is generally the same, including all the music.

I'll play this game when I have a chance, as it looks interesting. A Dragon Warrior - H would be a funny game, now that I think about it. Raspberry!

You bastard. How dare you forsake me as a NES whore! No anal for you tonight, Shad-- er, I mean, I'M GOING TO KICK YOUR ASS.

You didn't check the graphics tutor, did you?

It had a 'basic' DW-H.

I don't want to see Dragon Warrior with LOC's plot in it, though.
