To my dearest,

As I write this letter, I realize the irony behind our situation. We lived within a few steps of each other in the same house for decades. Everyday we met and talked. I had so many chances to tell you how I felt, but I couldn't. I thought I'd gotten rid of all the embarassment from when we started living together.

We've shared everything from our hopes and dreams to our most embarassing secrets; everything but this. I've decided to leave you my journal -- at least what remains of it.

Several of the pages have been ripped out as they were nothing more than the bitter remnants of sad memories. I fervently hope that this will help convey these uneasy feelings.

Maybe then you can personally touch the depth of the pain I've been harboring for years. Every bit of my thoughts towards you are laid bare within this journal. We will never have the chance to apologize now. It's far too late for regrets. At least now you'll understand.

Sincerely yours,
Alys

This is quite incredible. You've really outdone yourself this time. Lonliness is permeating my soul.

Lovely intro. It reminds me of a poem. I don't remember which one though... I hope the game is good. I'll find out soon enough Wink

Oookay... sorry for asking (I should have been capable of figuring it out myself but I can't), but what's the deal with the constellation paintings? Is it a 'look at them in a particular order to progress' puzzle? I found a piece of journal that tells me when each constellation was viewed and tried looking at them in date order. I even tried looking at the may 30th painting at 3:30 am (Saw the date and time on a stone elsewhere) but nothing happens. Am I being an idiot and missing the obvious again?

The constellation paintings will make sense much later. For now, just draw notes of them. I think you're really confused about the two clocks, they don't function as a time machine. They open glimpses of the past. They will take you to the major 4 places in the game. If the information said "floating garden open to the public at xx:xxAM", you set it at xx:xxAM then you check the floating garden painting in Lost in Thoughts.

The amenities of basic living are strangely absent here, save the amenity that transports a person to the land of dreams.
