|
|
I'm not quite sure how it could be done, but is there any possibility of splitting .rpg files and making it so that we could upload it in parts? Since I'm forced to use floppy disks to download games, there are a lot of games I want to play but can't because they are too large.
On a side note, does anyone know why I can't download Stop? The computer tells me to insert a higher capacity disk, but the disk is 1.44MB, which should fit the 1.39MB of the file. _________________ Calehay |

Hmm, that's weird. I tried putting it on a floppy and got the same thing.
Maybe Stop is TOO HOT FOR FLOPPIES TO HANDLE (yeah, right).
I'll see if I can upload a smaller version on my personal webspace. _________________ But enough talk, have at you! |

stop is 1425.3kb big
a floppy disk holds 1423.5kb (1457664 bytes == 1.39 mb)
i've seen a program called 'hjsplit' that splits files into multiple parts so they can be transferred via floppy. you could use that for any too-large files. |

If you want to download OHR games to anything but your hard
drive, I would suggest getting a zip (100 or 250) drive or a
writeable CD drive. That way, you can store multiple
games on just one disk. If you don't want to spend a lot
of money, however, then maybe you shouldn't |

Then don't use Winzip. Zip files generated by winRAR are generally smaller than those generated by winzip, but you could try any zipping program. _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

To anyone with hjsplit:
I know that this is a lot to ask, but is there any way that someone could split Stop and Final Fantasy H- Normaltype with hjsplit and send it to me. I would do it, but the library computer will not let me. I've heard that Final Fantasy H is a great OHR game and the picture for Stop looks awesome. If this is too much, then I am quite sorry. _________________ Calehay |

Are there any of the larger files that someone recommends? _________________ Calehay |
