I don't recall "hyping" CTPSX as I have been mostly idling in IRC. And I remember sew complaining about CTPSX. The game has alot of flaws: stupid intermissions, uninteresting dialogue, banal graphics, dodgy controls, the list goes on and on. However, the parts that I like about the game, I like them very much that I'm willing to overlook the flaws.

Most of the people who played the game gave up during the intermission scenes, and I wouldn't be surprised, I did too. The scare event scenes are great... and I'm pretty sure I missed some of them. For example in the first chase scenario, try going to the elevator while the scissorman was on your tail. The screen will turn into a first person perspective where you can see the scissorman is walking towards you as the elevator door slowly closes. I also recall trying to frantically open a locked door when suddenly the scissorman suddenly pops out from behind. He had the key and waved it in front of me, taunting. Little details like these make the game worth playing.

Anyway, I'm currently playing:
System Shock 2.
Great survival horror/FPS game. The exploration part is emphasized more than average FPS games, which I appreciate. Great level designs: aesthetics-wise and structure-wise.

Seiklus.
No need for me to explain this game again.

GTA: Vice City.
Excellent atmosphere and exploration aspect.

Warning Forever

Perfect Dark (N64)
Y'burn this game, I'll come to your house / dorm, pull out a Falcon 2 (Silenced) and shoot you. And if I run out of all 808 bullets, then I'll put it into secondary mode and Pistol Whip you!
Seriously, this game is very fun, but so hard! I can barely beat the perfect missions, and I am trying my best. At least I am getting better. Soon, I'll be able to take on a whole crowd of PerfectSims!

That's actually about it. I am not really allowed on computer, because I am grounded, and I haven't been home in a couple of weeks due to my need of hospitality.

Final Fantasy XI (Titan) - Hmm... Yeah, this game is good. Just need a lot of time. And patience. And an open mind I guess. It's different, but in a good way. You can't go into it an expect that you can play solo in the slightest, because that's just not the way Square designed the game. Why bother having it online if you could? But because of that, you sometimes can't get into a party, and thus... Can't play.

At times you'll also run into the average idiot (Which is more than average I guess), which will make you level up 300x slower or something annoying. Or...

<real thing that happened>

You'll find yourself in a group fighting the final boss before the Zilart missions, and the black mage AND red mage both have lower elemental skill than you, the dark knight (who is me), and can't hurt the boss in any feasible way. The red mage continues to suck more after he decided to not use convert because he's afraid of dying (Turns HP into MP), so he can't cast cure anymore because his MP is too low. So the boss (who is as tall as a two story building by the way) kills the paladin, white mage, ranger, black mage and then red mage (Died because he was afraid of dying No, no, no...). All's that left is yours truely, soloing the jerk, thwacking away at his HP desperately while trying to land a drain spell on him but can't because he attacks insanely fast (Spells get interrupted when getting hit). Dead ; ;

</real thing that happened>

But when you actually meet smart people, who're good players, the game is insanely fun, where you're doing skillchains and magic bursts left and right while getting super high exp chains. I recommend finding a way to at least give the game a shot. You might really enjoy it (Or might not). It really depends on what you look for in a game, and I wouldn't blame you for quitting if you did. Heheh.

Plus, you might run into funny bugs in the game, which will allow you to play out funny scenarios:

1. Final Fantasy 6 - I wanna see what all the fuss is about

2. Harvest Moon Back to Nature - I never knew it's so addicting! And, Karen is so beautiful!

3. Tomba 2 - the gameplay's lame, but I still like it

4. City of Dreams - I need to finish this game because its made by the creator of Purgatory

5. Legend of Legaia - the hardest RPG ever (well, for me). I've been playing it for a year!!

6. Silent Hill 3 - Really, what the heck is that thing?

that is shameful of him...
heck, if I was playing, I'd be drain ALL (but 1Raspberry!) of my HP to continue to cast cure. I mean, I'd regain the HP from casting cure in the first place.

FFXI seems more fun than RO, but I can't play it Crying
I'd prefer a strategic battle system, than a smash'em up rogue battle system, anyday Neutral

I don't play enough RPGs.

---

PS2
Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter - started over due to better understanding of the mechanics.
Dance Dance Revolution - several mixes
Disgaea - on the backburner; too much levelling.
Final Fantasy X-2 - current primary objective; it is NOT a softcore hentai game with battles, damnit.
Wild ARMs 3 - boss battles.
Xenosaga ep 1 - no commment.

PSX
Chrono Cross - on the backburner; replaying to get a perfect save file.
Parasite Eve - on the backburner; replaying due to my original memory card dying.
Legend of Mana - on the backburner; replaying for the Nth time in order to get an ultimate save file.

PC
Neverwinter Nights - the main campaign is the worst part; expansions are better.

ANTICIPATED
Tales of Symphonia (GC...or if they do decide to bring it to the US, PS2)
Star Ocean 3 (though not terribly so)
Street Fighter Anniversary Collection (primarily for SF3 3rd Strike)
GTA: San Andreas (no comment)
Fable (no comment)

Currently I'm playing:
The Elderscrolls III: Morrowind - One of my favorite RPGs mainly because of it's sheer length and amount of freedom.

Final Fantasy VI - I'm always playing this, I can't remember how many times I've previously played it.

Project Gotham Racing 2 - I love racing games, and the custom sountrack feature on Xbox makes the game much more enjoyable.

Lots of games in the works. Like JSH, I'm at college, so I don't have much time.

Currently Playing

1. Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne - Basically the only online game I play until I find another RO server. I'm still playing it frequently even though it's a year old. The editor is genius.

2. Wario Ware Inc.: Mega Microgames - Another great game, full of insanity to satasfy even me. Enjoyable to the last. I'd love to make an OHR version, but I doubt the OHR could go fast enough for what I have in mind. I'm currently trying to clear every puzzle to get the last secret (I've unlocked everything else, with every "person" having a high score at least over 50)

3. Clock Tower (PS1 and SNES) - Both of them, I guess. Need to beat the PS1 one, and need to find the rest of the endings of the SNES one.

4. Space Trader (Palm) - Addicting, yet amazingly stupid. I only play it because it's on my Palm. I also play Bejeweled a lot.

Need/Want to Beat Soon

Xenogears - Never beat it. Argh.

Fire Emblem - Got quite far, but it gets frustrating (not as a bad thing, as a "Shadow doesn't have a long enough attention span" thing)

Walthros - I should finish this. Lazy me.

Silent Hill - Also need to play this one more. Horror games rule. Happy

Currently Working On

Pitch Black 2 - No progress (thanks to driving to Utah and moving in to college), but hopefully I'll get into a routine where I'll have some free time to work on it.

Most Anticipated

Nothing, actually. There are no games I'm really looking forward to. Wait, Soliloquy (Uncy's film noir game). That's really the only one.

I actually am anticipated about FFXII. The battles sound cool, but that's about only I have heard of it. That one male main character looks like Michael Jackson, so that, in a weird way, makes it funny, and, in a weird way, makes me wanna play it.

I also am trying to find Xenogears. It just looks fun. Maybe if I had a job, I could go game shopping, as well as CD shopping, G1 (Canadian Vehicle License), and College...

Well... I don't have a structured appreciation...
