A- Vote on who you think is the best OHR author of all time, and what you think their best work is.
B- Vote for who you want to see interviewed the most (Not that I'll do it, but the winner would make a good suggestion) _________________ BANDIT REVOLVER, DOWNLOAD IT OR ELSE.

Holee shit. Of ALL Time? That, is one hell of a question, one I must ponder before I answer. There's been a lot of great designers, and a lot of good ones, but none of them REALLY have been consistently great enough to merit that honor. I'll come back to it.
As for someone I'd like to see interviewed, I'd like to see someone clever interviewed. People who make funny games in particular. So, I'd say either yourself, myself, PHC, ChaosNyte, Flamer, or say go out a bit further, and say Pscyo2000 who I admired for awhile. Oh, wait, even better how about Mister T? Hurm, another really good person to interview would be Scyree, or Harlock, or Doc Shizuma. Alright if I absolutely HAD to pick, I'd say PHC. But all of them would make good reading material. |

Does "author" refer specifically to someone who does good stories/dialogue or is it more general than that? _________________ Locked

Author means game author of course.
I second the request for an interview with Eggie! _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

Guess what PHC? I love you! Eggie wins, so long as he's willing to do it.
Eggie, if you're willing and reading this, my AIM is ProfElmore, or of course, Gilbert in IRC.
Okay, Eggie wins that one, keep voting on the other topic though. And I do mean GAME author, best OHR File maker all around. _________________ BANDIT REVOLVER, DOWNLOAD IT OR ELSE.

A. Fenrir As well. Hes the best game author I know of...
B. Fenrir (He's had quite a few years of experience that we could get out of an interview)
*Why did Eggie get voted so fast...? Most people didnt even get the chance to read this thread before you decided. _________________

At the moment, I'd pick JSH for best current OHR author, though if it included former OHRers I'd pick Misteroo. The impact his games have had on our current OHR 'culture' is too great to ignore, and his characters are more recognized than those in Time Flies, Ends of the Earth, Walthros, Halloween Quest, and dozens more. EVERYONE knows what Housemaster looks like. The fact that AH3 (discount the other 2 since they're too short) is the most widely played NON FF game on the list, is referenced more in other games, and 'Arfenspeak' being an officially recognised term to describe newbie speak, shows just how far reaching an impact this game has. The fact that Misteroo is no longer an active member also shows this - we're still talking about Arfenhouse.
As always, I'd like to see James interviewed if possible. I find it odd people would prefer an interview with Eggie over one with James. |

It seems some people didn't read all of Gilbert's post.
And Gilbert interviewing himself would be interesting, but not very...informative. _________________ But enough talk, have at you! |

I believe the best OHR author is Shadowiii. Simply because he does what other people have yet to do successfully. He hasn't made a single game that is the same as the other without it being a hilarious spin-off of the other. He has mastered every type of game he has made thus far.
I want to see... PHC interviewed. He has had some crazy ideas lately away from Walthros (original) and it would be amusing to see what made him do it. _________________ ---------------Projects----
