|
|
I'm not sure what to do. I wanted to release Verdimea before I had to go back to school, but if I do that now, the battle graphics are going to look like little kids drawings. I'm not sure if I should have put this in the art corner, but should I release my game with unfinished battle graphics and an unfinished title screen? _________________ Calehay |

Don't release your game if it has huge unfinished gaps in it. _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

How bad are we talking about here? if its at least somewhat okay and it helps, you should release it before you go to school. But if you dont think its acceptable you should wait _________________ A man once said to the Universe "Sir! I exist!"

I went ahead and added more detailed shading to my walkabouts and finished all the battle graphics except the background.(Would it be bad if I used the sandsea background. I think it looks nice in my game.) Now all I have to do is plotscripting. (It's like learning a new programming language. Whee! (Sarcasm(I hate some parts of programming and love others.))) _________________ Calehay |

No.
Also, HamsterSpeak is the easiest programming language ever. |

WRONG. H8 SANDSEA.
Ok, it wouldn't be bad, but it would be stupid.
Just take the extra time to add in details. If it means you have to work harder, boo hoo cry me a river.
And yes, Plotscripting is a very simple programming language. The only hard part is it takes a while to remember and get used to useing all the commands. Use the RemotePad editor, it has a built in dictionary. _________________ But enough talk, have at you! |

It's just that I hate programming after taking this Visual Basic class at my school. I prefer QBasic or what I'm learning now EUPHORIA. Plotscripting is just a little hard to get used to the syntax.
Edit: We added a post around the same time. Is the remote pad the HssEditor? _________________ Calehay |

Actually, I forgot the wording of the question. I was thinking "Would it be alright if I used Sandsea?" My mistake.
My revised answer is "DON'T TOUCH IT I HATE SEEING THAT IN EVERY NEWBIE GAME MAKE ONE YOURSELF." |

HamsterSpeak syntax is the loosest ever. It consists entirely of:
Use parathesis/'begin'/'end' to pass arguments
Use commas where needed.
Uncommon had me worried there too. But Minnek isn't shocking me. Cause that would be so bad it can't not be a joke. _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

Listen... If you need help with things like title screens and battle backgrounds... I think you could ask some of the community to help out. Things like battle graphics and stuff are more personalised, I think you'd rather do them yourself.
*Id be glad to help...
*Im sure RPGspOtKale would be glad to help as well... Hes exellent. _________________
