2. An ending in which the events that had taken place throughout the story/game have a visible effect on the hero(es). Otherwise, the whole thing was pointless, stupid, and unrealistic.
3. Well, since I haven't finished many...Fianl Fantasy 6. |

1: The scene in half-life where your doing the experiment and the shit really hits the fan. Probablly why this scene and all scenes in hl are so cool is becuase you continue play through it, not go to a cut scene or something.
2:Personally, I like an ending that keeps you guessing.
3:Best ending would have to be in super metroid, when the motherbrian is about to finish you and the baby metroid saves you.

1) The final scene in Ultraseven (Ultraseven throws the
eye slugger; Pandon catches it, waves it three times,
and throws it back;
Ultraseven reflects it with telekinesis; the eye slugger
cuts off Pandon's head), but, seeing it was also in the
show, does it count?
2) Any scene that seems complete, but can be
linked to a sequel and shows flashbacks of the
game (this isn't an RPG, but, personally, I loved
the ending of Rocky V).
3) The best ending I've ever seen would
be (I'll come back to it later). |

My favorite scene... the openings of battles in Star Ocean 2! Claude is such a witty fella.
I like endings where I get to see naked chicks.
Season of the Sakura has the best ending ever. Man, that Mio is a tight, fine missy.

The bad guy is defeated so hard he can't return for a sequel (I.E., rest of the franchise needs new villains for each entry), the hero is forever changed by his experiences, all the male/female party member pairings with the best emotional chemistry and banter are married to each other.

Hard choice...Dragon Warrior 1 has "hero marries the princess in the end", Dragon Warrior 3 has an amazing plot twist ending that ties into the first two games and is rather bittersweet, Final Fantasy 1 has a beautiful time travel paradox of an ending.
