Which characters in a particular video game do you think was developed the most and give examples? And has any single character from a video game been an influence to any of the games you have made? _________________ ---------------Projects----

Play Final Fantasy 6. You'll find a bunch. Kefka is absolutely LOVELY.
Also, Tellah from Final Fantasy 4. |

All the final fantasy series are extremely well developed in the character development section of the games.
Kefka is very cool.
All the main characters normally fall into a love story of some sort, that helps alot with character (have you ever noticed how much people change when they are around the opposite sex???) _________________

It original to the final fantasy games in my book.
**Why do you keep disagreeing with me...
?Do you not agree that final fantasy is one of the best RPGs alive?
I feel that a love story develops characters. In any game. You see him in all different angles of life. You end up knowing your character and can sometimes relate to him/her. _________________

The most influencial game in terms of character development for me was Final Fantasy 6, everything about that game still blows me away.
Aside from Kefka, Setzer was my favorite character from that game. A few characters I've made have similarities to his personality. _________________ Gyu, Doh! |

PHC is right, FF usually has a poorly done love story. The only one I liked was with Locke and Celes in FF6 cause it was more subtle and they didn't shove it in your face all the time. The designers seem to think that RPGs have to have a love story for some reason, but they really don't. An RPG can stand perfectly well without a love story.
I'm still not sure who I think had the best characterization, I'll come back to answer that when I think of one. _________________ Locked

The best characterization for a villain I've seen has to be Kuja from FF9. That and he has something like 4 or 5 different (albeit slightly) theme songs that play through the course of the game. |

The worst villain in the Final Fantasy series is probably Edea.
Just when you thought that she is evil, she suddenly turns nice!!!!!!
That really sucks.
Then, who the heck is Ultimecia? Why should we hate her? _________________ The man who smiles when things go wrong has thought of someone to blame it on.
