OHR will not work for me ever again. No matter how many Virus protections I get, it still seems bugged up. Even in DosBox, something screws up. 99% of the time GAME.EXE runs real slow. I was looking forward to playing the TSSE update, but that idea’s gone. I can’t run OHR. All I can do is import Midis.

Basically…

I can’t do it. I’m done. I bet some people are happy because a couple of people a while back thought that Urban Fantasy was going to suck, but we’ll never know. Regardless what you said, I kept on getting better at what I did. Hawk once said, “Eggie, you have never made anything good. You’re terrible.”
Hawk, I never really released anything except Mystic Fate. Smart.
Uncommon always thought that I would’ve never improve on my sprites, but I did. I improved on my sprited, art work, story writing skills a bit. So tell me, did I really lose?

That's really too bad, Egg. However, you do have the right spirit. You DID improve a lot. It wasn't entirely pointless. At least you can still work on your art, eh? I, for one, would like to see more of that at least. Happy

Don't quit just yet - we'll help you fix your computer somehow so you can keep making games.

If all else fails, get a clean reformat of your computer and do a fresh instal.

I agree with fenrir. A fresh formatting always does a PC good.

*Just remember to backup...

If there is no way to ever make the OHR run on your PC, my suggestion is to look for an older cheaper computer instead. My PC was having similar problems, but one day I stumbled onto an old Sony Vaio priced at $10 at a yard sale. The OHR has never ran better on any of my computers than that one. See what you can find, you don't have to give up just yet if you don't want to.

He didn't quote you at all. He says what he believes to be your opinion. Probably a misunderstanding.

At any rate, Eggie, another thing you can try before just giving up is downloading ad-aware. It's free and it gets rid of spyware, which might be your problem if you're suspecting viruses.[/quote]

Quitting should only be done if all other alternatives have failed. And Fenrir has a good point. I do it often when my computer gets too slow with the ole internet. So just reformat your harddrive and let us know then. We're a community, and you're a part of it. And we'll help ya out.

Eggie: Is it your computer, or just OHR

RMZ: The reason your internet gets so slow
is spyware and adware. You should get a
firewall or McAfee VirusScan for that.

Eggie don't do it man, just get a new computer, an older one.

I suggest Ebay.

and go on from there, but don't give up because of the stupid computer.

anyway, here is my opinion.

Even though you can't use OHR again, that doesn't mean you can't still be an active member of the community. You can still improve what you are good at and share your knowledge with other members.
