Sorry but i dont see the point in this.
It aint a game and it is just a thing for crud manga porn.

It aint good (my opinion)

Turn it into a game and then i'll decide

Pal88, do you have to be so argumentative about these issues? Seriously, I'm female, and this game depicts females. However, I'm not openly bashing this game, and neither should you, because you have no backing to said argument.
This is a game. Sure, it may be short, but it is still a game, just as much as the other games which were made for the Terrible Game Contest of which Hentai Quest was a part.
You say something is bad? Make something better and prove to the OHR community that you indeed can make something better.
I mean it. Make something better, or Get Over It.

Sorry but i didn't know it was part of the terrible game contest.
Now that i know then i can now say its a great terrible game.
But i still dont think you can call it a game. It was basically a go to bookcase and look at picture type thing. It had no intro and no real plot to it.

Now if it had them then maybe i could consider it a game.
The plot could be like. One day a guy wanted to relieve himself but didn't know how til he saw this shop. He went in.
Now thats a plot.
Are you really female by the way?

Firstly: No she's not. Secondly! I've explained this before, but a game does NOT equal an RPG. A game can be something as simple as playing catch in your side yard, or bouncing a ball off a wall. Looking for porn can indeed be a game, especially when given graphics, and a plot. A game is ANYTHING done for recreation, with rules describing play. This has rules. Talk to a magazine to read it, you can't walk through walls, and if you tear the book, you pay for it. Simple as that. I really enjoyed the game, and I don't mean to have this degrade into an argument, but your comments always lack any real insight, and you seem to just be replying to every thread on the forums, and it's getting really annoying.

I knowe there should be a plot gizmog1 but the fact still remains to me that there isnt a plot in the game. What would it really be. If you read my last post i gave a plot to add to it. But the guy who made the game didn't put a plot in the game so where left wondering what its really about.

Im talking about the old one as i haven't played the new one yet. So if you've been talking about the new one then fairs fair but im on about the old one.

It's a guy looking for porn! He's in his favorite magazine shop, and he browses through the various erotic periodicals availabe for purchase. What other plot do you need?

Okay i get the point. I'll leave this topic alone now if you want.
Though to me there isn't enough of a plot to make a game (my opinion).
The fact is that people have different opinions as to what makes a game and to me its just mindless drivel of a sense to look at manga porn things.
I aint in to manga and never will be so thats probably why i dont understand the game.

Well, yeah. I tell you what, we're kinda spamming the boards here, Pal. Why not go up to the link and click the Chat Room button, and we can talk about it in the channel, where we're not cluttering things up so much?

Ok, Pal. Get this straightened out somewhere else. Try PMs... Neutral

Anyway, this entire second page is irrelevant to the topic, so anyone reading this should step back to page one and read maybe the first few posts. Also get the game there. Thank you.

Are you two FUCKING INSANE?! I am the Giz! I have chicks every single DAY, and I like Hentai. You know why? It's dramatized women. Sure, real porn's great. Real girls are great. Most hentai is also great! Women are women, be it computer generated, hand drawn, photographed, or in person, and most any representation of women can be arousing, and visually appealing to look at. Now, if you start trying to make love to these cartoons, you have a problem, but just admiring them as a fine representation of something beautiful is hardly at all something that assaults one's manhood. And as for stupidity, I'd say for sheer entertainment value, this game is worth it's weight in gold. The last two pictures are great, the ones leading up to it are entertaining, and the whole addition of DAY TWO AND THE SECRET ENDING! Make it all the better! So, if you're done talking about us real men, why don't you go play with your toy pickup trucks in the sandbox, and I'll agree with you. Girls are icky. Best not look at them, or you'd get cooties.

I dunno, man... Those huge bug eyes and that basketball shaped head just don't seem to do it for me. I prefer my women to, you know, not look like creepy aliens. (I believe the term for that style is "super-deformed", right? sexy...)

It'll stay up here if people keep posting.
Cam, it's hentai. It's pointless to argue about it, the fanboys are unstoppable.

No. To summarize a point made on the 6th page of Chris Crawford on Game Design, a computer game is entertainment that is interactive, tehre are playthings but you have goals, there are challenges with a competitor, and conflicts with attacks allowed. Hentai Quest does have interactivity and goals, but there is no competitor or attacks. It is (under Chris' definition), a puzzle, not a game.

Under Crawford's definition, EVERY RPG that is made with the OHR (EVERY RPG ever made, even, except maybe Pokemon) would be a puzzle, as there are no human competitors, and (especially with the OHR) the "algorithms" behind computer actions are easily figured out.

He doesn't leave it only only human competition (if I recall, I haven't read the book in a few months), but rather human vs computer works as well (eg Starcraft).
