I say, capital-y Yes. You wanna know why FFTA feels like a kiddie game? Not enough bloodshed. FFT dealt maturely with mature subjects. |
Geez, that made me mad. You could just let your characters get slaughtered in a judge battle, and it wouldn't matter because they'd just come back after the battle was over.
If you kill characters, I'd say kill them at the end, or near the end. Granted, they'll be mad because the character they played with the entire game is now fragged, but in all honesty there is only what, one boss left?
Character death can be an incredible plot twister, but it must not be used in such a way that the player hates you forever for it. If the player is frustrated because you killed off the guy he's been leveling the entire time (like when Aeris died after I had mastered all her limit breaks), they aren't going to be pleased when you ask them to keep on playing. _________________ But enough talk, have at you! |

Great Norris, can't you people stay on topic?!
I'm not talking about deaths taking place in storylines! Someone close the fucking thread, already. |

Yes, God forbid we actually have a semi-intellectual conversation, even if it is slightly off topic. _________________ But enough talk, have at you! |

JSH has very graciously requested that the intelligent people of this community leave his thread in peace. Because I personally found all the deviations to be of great interest, I have created a new thread in which such deviations are welcome and encouraged here. _________________ ~Pyro
