I dig those battles but I have to agree with leonhart - The battles need more depth in the background.

And also with friend, try making the snow lighter, it almost looks like water now.

I don't want to sound rude, but it looks like you got lazy with those battle back drops. All you did was change the colors. I assume you plan to add things to these later (like a... Rock!) and this is only a demo thing. I do love those walkabouts though.

Yes, the battle backgrounds are very flat, but you guessed it LeRoy_Leo-- they are only temporary. Basically just for testing.

Thanks for the tip about the snow. I have to agree with you, it is way too bright. I'll fix that.

or is it already released?

I'm not too sure when it will be released. Hopefully within the next six months, but that hinges on my workload at school being light, which is unlikely. I'll work on a website to give some details about the game.

In the meantime, here are the hero sets. Check em out, tell me what you think. Again, click the images to zoom in. Check out the details and what have you.

I admire your abilities with the fighting positions. My favorite is the archer. I especially like his hit frame. Still seems a little stiff in some parts of the frames, but it's definitely an improvement.

You know what... With hero graphics like that (DAMN THEY ARE GOOD!!!) you shouldent slack off and the easier things, like battle backgrounds.

Please make a cool battle background. PM someone if you need help. Im sure anyone shall be glad to. (THough Im sure you want this game to be "YOURS ONLY"... right. I would feel the same way if thats the case)

Thanks for the comments, guys.

I would actually prefer to have help with my game. I hate it when OHR games end with one name in the credits. But I do think that games should have a single person at the helm as the guiding creative force. Sort of like a film director. Too many cooks can spoil the broth.

I don't think I'm far enough along to ask people to make something for my game. The battle system is pretty much complete but I've done no maps other than the world map and that's only partially done. I personally hate making maptiles and battle backgrounds, but they must be done, and I know I'll have to do them at some point. The only problem with not making maptiles is that its hard to get your game going before you even have a map. So if anyone out there is willing to donate some maptiles or give me any help, I'd appreciate it.
