IM- It's not fixed. When I try to download the attachment, it says that it can't write it to the cache.

Calehay- Unless IM can get that up and running, just e-mail it to my other address or upload it and PM me a link.

I'll be pending the judging until you get your entry in.

Jazz Man- Sorry, the titles will be reassigned each year for whoever participates in the contest.

If I get a chance to finish it, I'll post it up... but here's the little story I had written for it...
(Granted it's cliche, but it gets the mood I wanted to portray. And I wrote it blindly in about 10 minutes... shh. Big grin)

___________________________________________

A sorceress, Mordana, fell in love with a brave prince, who, in turn, was in love with her, as well. But for the prince to fall in love with this sorceress was unheard of at this time, so they kept it a secret love.

In her study, Mordana devised a way that her and her beloved prince could be together for eternity. She found a way to create her own reality in a small pocket in the dimensions. Here, they could live by the rules they dictate. She had the power to make things as she wanted, to mold the very earth to her liking. She concocted this world in secret for her and her lover. She built them the finest white castle ever known to man, and for her prince, the sturdiest, purest white chair ever dreamt up by carpenters. This chair was reserved for only him, as it would become a token of their love. Should her prince chose to sit in the chair, it would prove to Mordana how deeply his love was for her, and her world would be completed.

When her plans were finished, she approached the prince and proposed the offer. She told him that, if he were to choose to be with her, it would be forever, locked away in their hidden palace. The prince was faced with a choice. To give up his heritage, his kingdom, his life as the greatest ruler known to man, so that he might spend the rest of eternity in Mordana's world, or to give up Mordana, and live a normal, loveless life without her.

As a sign of good faith, Mordana walked into the rift to show her prince it was safe. She crossed over into her beautiful world of the most brilliant greens and blues ever beheld by a human eye. She stood on the other side of the portal waiting. The prince, however, never followed. The sorceress stood by the doorway for hours, waiting for her prince to come.

Finally, the sorceress began to realize that he wouldn't be joining her. She realized that now, she was trapped in her own universe alone. She could not return, but she held the portal open... in hopes that one day, her love would come through to her. She kept his white chair near the rift so that he would know, when he came, that he was welcome.

But years passed. The sorceress began to change into a bitter witch. The greens of the grasses began to fade, the blue of the sky became a tumultuous grey, her world lost it's human sweetness for an otherwordly evil. She, herself, lost her youthly color and became a shrouded old hag, beautiful robes becoming a sickening black.

The world began to crumble around her. The only things left virtually untouched by her were the white chair, still standing by the portal as a sign of hope, and the white castle, so her love would have a place to come home to. But even those, over time, began to warp and twist, distorted by her dying love of the prince.

Years and years passed... and the witch is still alone in her realm...
