Prepare for an annual tradition.
This year's Human Day Game Contest, as per tradition, will begin on December 1 and end on Human Day (December 25th).
As per tradition, you can use any game engine (Ohrrpgce, Game Maker, etc.) or pure program.
As per tradition, the prize will be a copy of "Chris Crawford on Game Design" delivered to your house from Amazon.com, approximate value 20-30$.
Unlike tradition, there will be no second or third prizes, because Harlock has shown himself incapable of delivering on his prize promises.
As per tradition, the panel of judges will be a secret panel of "Heroists" and "Heroist lackies".
As per tradition, we reserve the right to say "there was no winner, all of the entries didn't fit the theme".
For more information, see last year's Human Day thread (the winner of it was Sephyroth, if I remember).
Return here on December 1, and I shall announce the theme and give further instructions. _________________ Tower Defense Game |

Yay! Finally the heroists confess inability to produce every promised prize! But Rinku, it's cowardly how you lay it all on Harlock, you've failed to deliver third and second place prizes as well, in fact more often than Harlock, and I think you owe your friend Har an apology for pretending he's the only manager of the human day contest who has ever made mistakes regarding it, uncool man.
Anyway, I'm probably entering. Will I compete with a serious game or will my file be an attempt to thwart the possibilities of the contest being taken seriously? Place your bets! _________________ BANDIT REVOLVER, DOWNLOAD IT OR ELSE.

Actually if Rinku provides the promised reviews of LAST YEAR'S winners, I'll certainly commit to a good, serious game. And I don't mean some tiny little thing like the Robot Game, but a real one made with at least the integrity of IMD:VR Missions. Rinku has promises to fulfill before I think of this contest as anything more than a masturbatory vanity fluff piece on Rinku's part. _________________ BANDIT REVOLVER, DOWNLOAD IT OR ELSE.

the only prizes i've failed to deliver are:
- immortality rings
- reviews of the three winners of the 03 contest
in the first of those cases, it was because alex chiu shut down his '40 clicks for free rings' thing, so i couldn't get any to send them without buying them, and at the time i had no money to do that. however i still have my rings and will give them to moogle1 if i ever meet him in real life. i don't really think he is that upset about the rings, though -- they don't actually make you immortal, they're more of a conversation piece.
in the second of those cases, i'm still working on the reviews. i tend to take a long time to write reviews. my xenogears review, for example, has been in production since september of 2002. _________________ Tower Defense Game |

okay, the theme is "suggesting". i'll elaborate. the major action of the game, what the hero does, must be to suggest things to someone or to someones. he cannot do anything else but suggest things for them to do. he cannot use a sword, jump, or do anything else active -- all he can do is move around, look around, and suggest things to people.
you can do any variation of the above you like, be creative. your task is to turn this idea into a good game. if anyone can do so, they get the prize. _________________ Tower Defense Game |

hmm... Super Your Mom 4 seems to fit this theme so well...
...but I've worked on this game before December 1st, so I don't think that's legal. I had better think up something else. |

I've thought of something. It'd be more for Gil's version of the contest than Rinku's, but it fits the theme nonetheless.
I may or may not make it. If I don't, I'll certainly post the idea after the contest finishes.
Oh, hey, I just noticed that I like the prize. Maybe I *will* do this. I may just be Ultra enough to win both contests. _________________

Count me in this year. I've heard about Human Day, and now that I understand the theme a tad more, I believe I can submit something. _________________ ---------------Projects----
