I've been holding this in for awhile, but then I checked the download meter and saw that my zelda game hit 300 downloads. And not to be stuck up or anything but I'd really like a new review or a revised one that's already there. In all honesty I really don't think the game was F- material, maybe a D or C- maybe even and F+, but a F- minus! YOY _________________ Indy OHR! and National OHR Month Contest going on now!

Maybe you need to set your standards a bit higher. Take a look at some games on the gamelist that have gotten reviews in the D to F range, then judge for yourself whether or not your game deserves a better review than those games, because it doesn't. _________________ im realy ded |

If it wasn't for shadow latching onto games and dragging them into the darkness some of those games would have gotten a good grade. I enjoyed Mr. Triangle 5 and I think it should have a B. But my game got a F frikin minus. Thats like saying my game is the worst possible game you can possibly make. I reserve F- for 10 minute 51kb games that just take up space on the gamelist. I consider C an average game with nothing super good but good enough to be entertaining and makes you actually want to play the game. D is substanderd with low level graphics no plotscripting but maybe a kinda intresting storyline. F is for horrible graphics buggy gameplay thousands of flaws, just an overall waste of time. So Seph I really do think I'd like a new review or a revised one.[/b] _________________ Indy OHR! and National OHR Month Contest going on now!

If anyone has the right to complain about his F- average, it's me with Mageclash.
Granted, the game doesn't actually have any F- reviews, but Unc made a temporary one and immediately deleted it, which is why it's there. I asked him to do a real review of it to take away the F-, but you know how Unc is with CP right now. If anyone would do a real review of the game, I'd appreciate it.
About your game... maybe it's not F- material, but unless you can convince someone to do another review, it's unlikely that you'll get that black mark removed. Perhaps you should update the game. _________________

I'll surely take a look at your game and give it a review. Just remember that I will be truthful, and if the game deserves a score, then I'll give it to it.

My father set a fricken curfew on computer time, so let me see how many I can play through and reveiw in this shortened window of time. Battle Blaze's game, RMZ's Gargan and Troy, and Moogle's Mage clash all could use a looking at, so I am adding these to the top of my to-do list at this very moment. BattleBlaze, you have a rivitting arguement. I will take what you said into some concideration when I reveiw your game.
PS: I have been studying reveiws quite a bit and I think I know what is expected now. _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

Mageclash is an interesting case for review because there is no real objective in the game, except on a level-by-level basis. I'd say a good basis for a review would be to play each level for a couple of minutes. _________________

I thout the zelda was a good game. Although it did have some errors the first time it came out. But heck all games have errors now and than.
I'd give it a c- or a d at the worst.
That is kinda funny I said error and zelda. If any of you remember in the second zelda for nes, there was a guy named error. You have to help him to get to the next town. |

Thanks, Moog. That should help me with your reveiw at least. Playing through each of your levels for a couple of minutes? That takes a lot of practice. _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

Just for info: My review is waiting to be reviewed.
Moogle1: How should we review MageClash in the review setup. Should we skip certain parts, or what?
And how can I get a screenshot of it? _________________ Calehay |

Well, there are a lot of non-standard games with reviews on CP. Check the Trailblazers reviews for one way you could format the review. The categories that really don't apply at all are the Storyline and Music, since Mageclash makes no attempt at either. Deal with those as you see fit. _________________

Don't take it personal. We all put a lot of hard work into games that get kinda poorly rated, and sometimes we even think them to have been horribly underrated.
Just remember that because someone doesn't like your game doesn't mean you failed in making it. It just means that one person voiced their dislike for it. You can't please everybody.
Hopefully, the review WAS constructive, so you'll know what areas you fell short in so you can work at those areas next time around. _________________

The first one was Uncommon merely bashing it. I attempted to make mine much more helpful.
Edit: Setu's right. As long as a review gives out some helpful advice, you shouldn't really look at the rating. That's merely icing. The point of a review is to make someone better, not set someone in stone. _________________ Calehay |

Well, damn, I guess we all should grade solely on the author's opinion, hmm? Improvement and constructive criticism are for sissies anyway. And don't forget individual opinions, now THAT is just totally wack. _________________ But enough talk, have at you! |
