Come see The Giz's latest game, a sort of fun thing to tide you over for PHC Vs. The Army of Lolitas, and Christmas No Ingles, Giz's one-two Holiday Punch. I kinda dig it, and it's gettin' good reviews in IRC. So check it out, "God Damn, Is It Dark In Here!"

(BTW, I really dig the lead character, expect to see more out of him in the future)

"Wow"! I "liked" this "game" so much that I "created" an unofficial "sequel" to it! It took me a "long" time to "make".

Seriously, what the hell?

Thanks. Best line: "I may never see darkness the same way again."

Machu, you missed the point. The parody of the parody just isn't as effective. I'll have to give your game an F-.

Besides, at least I didn't give it an A+ a la "Put on Shoes." It really annoys me when no-effort games get grades in the A range. B- is by no means a spectacular grade.

Besides, I honestly did enjoy "Dark in Here" and its review, as Shadow pointed out, is pretty funny, too. Try to count all the dark/light jokes. I'd say that for the time I spent playing the game, I enjoyed it more than the average OHR game. It deserved the grade it got.

I saw the joke. That single joke doesn't deserve a B-.
Well, more like one and a half jokes.

Perhaps I should create a game about how women can't drive.
Or better yet, a game about how newbies make bad games. That joke never gets old.

Gizmog is the first winner of the Human Day contest (By the Gilbert judging), if Rinku doesn't deliver the prizes before tomorrow then I'll send Gizmog a piece of art.

Who am I kidding, Giz just email or PM me your address.

The game was really great by the way, I laughed a good five times while playing it and then a few times after thinking about it, I told my sister about it and she laughed. That's eight laughs altogether off of one cheap joke, excellent work, this is one of the best of the super tiny joke games.

Here's a solution; pretend this game was made by someone who we don't automatically give credibility to. What if this game were made by a real newbie? Don't give bonus points because "Oh, Gizmog, what will you parody next?", be objective about it.

Now that I've calmed down, the game is decent for what it is; making fun of light-script popularity and an anti-climatic ending. What peeved me was using the review system as a joke, as there is no "sarcastic" section for reviews; either they need to be separated or all painfully honest.

To be honest, this is the only game Giz has made that I've liked. Besides, I think it was a fair grade. The individual scores may have been a little high, but I didn't give it an A-range grade. The B+ merely reflects how much I enjoyed the game; that is, more than the average game, irrespective of length or effort. I in no way claimed the game was revolutionary or one of the best games the OHRRPGCE has produced.

Thanks for the compliments, and Moogle, your review really was hillarious, man. I'm a little disappointed in Machu, not so much that he made the sequel, which was a pretty neat idea, but the fact that he ripped his graphics, plot, text, and music from "AFTER THE APOCALYPSE".

I think the fact of the matter is, there's two kinds of people on Castle Paradox. There's those who equate a game, a piece of art, a song, etc. with the amount of effort put into it. These are the kinds of people who ONLY watch things like Schindler's List, and Citizen Kane. The kind of people who think of something as great, because there was a big budget, and it took years, and it's a broad sweeping epic.

Then, there's the second who group, who like Godzilla, and old American International Pictures. The kind who draw the enjoyment from the idea, and how it's portrayed, how it's presented, people who watch a movie to enjoy it, and maybe they like those grand sweeping epics, but they enjoy them for their entertainment, not because they took such a big budget, and had such great actors, and could afford to film it in a big mansion, and not in a trailer. A game, a movie, anything, is more than just the piece itself, but rather how it's presented, the tone, and what it set out to accomplish. I think this game set out to do what it accomplished (Make Gilbert Laugh, Make Giz Laugh, Make fun of all these damn dark games)
and apparently that shows. Thanks again for all the compliments, and I hope you keep enjoying my games.

EDIT: Oh, Gilby: Thanks for the prize, but I may not be able to receive it for awhile. I'm a bit skittish over giving out my address, and trying to explain a mysterious package that'd come in the mail addressed to me. I'll probably tell you as soon as I come up with a good scam to smuggle it in the house, or maybe you can just hold on to it for me for, I dunno, a couple years until I grow a pair.

Effort doesn't equal a good game. I'm argueing that this game is neither, but it's just a decent joke, so we can drop the subject.

We should totally make a game library with this, Cave of Immense Riches, Don't Push the Button, and Siezure Inducer.

(In fact... Giz!... we need to talk... idear. Big grin)
