I also played the flute.

Its really difficult... I found it.
Sometimes my notes came out too high... or too high.
Thats when I realised that the piano was the most reliable instrument out there...

So, that's pretty unique that we have a flute player in CP, among all us keyboardists and guitarists.

Ok, here we go...

Vocal - Tenor II, but I sing higher than most tenor Is in my choir, and lower than some baritones. Really focused for about 6 years now, though I've sung all my life. It's what I'm doing for a living, actually.

Percussion - my baby. Happy Playing for almost 10 years now. With percussion, you name it, I can play it, up to and including piano. (Examples: Snare, Tenor Drums (marching band), Trap set (My main focus.. a damn good jazz drummer, if I say so myself), Chimes, Marimba, Timpani, etc. etc.)

Piano - Finally taking formal lessons as of a couple years ago. I only really plan to get proficient enough to lead a choir, so no great soloist here.

Guitar - Again, finally taking formal lessons as of two years ago. I'm focusing on classical (anyone can play chords... that's no challenge), and next semester, I'm starting work on flamenco pieces. I've got an ever expanding repertoire of classical pieces, though (Classical guitar rocks... chicks dig it).

Composition for about 4 or 5 years now. I don't know if this counts, but... yeah. I started out as a VG composer (thanks to OHR) and have since moved on to more symphonic arrangements. I usually write for everything from piano to steel drum band. :-D An unofficial goal I have is to write a piece for every music ensemble I'm in before I leave college. (2 years to write... oh... about 7 pieces) Though, occasionally, I can be found to write a VG tune again. (I only lack the drive to do so anymore... Big grin)

That about sums it up for me. I know I'm missing something... but I forget what it is... meh. Oh well.

Seriously, though, drums are severly underrated by most non-musicians. In my composition experiences, I've found drums to be one of the most fun instruments to simulate (also the most time-consuming too XP ).

Not to mention that most songs will sound way too bland without them. In my oppinion, all songs could use some drums to spice them up. In short, I too love da' drums, bish.

Yeah, but with orchestral scores, it would really depend. You could make it work, but it might not sound too great.
