Is there a simple way to script agame so that both heros and NPC's walk freely, instead of steppping from tile to tile. I tried to use bits of the code james provided with Baby Bob, but all that script made my head hurt. I'm not the best plotscripter around and I hate writing lines andlines of code. assistance please? |

I'd imagine such a script would be even more complicated than that of Baby Bob. _________________ im realy ded |

Um... Metamorphosis did it, but its methodology is really outdated. Still, if you want to use its script, it's open-sourced. _________________

do you mean pixel movement? >_>
I dunno about the ideas behind it on the OHR, since...
1) incredibly slow
2) glitchy, since there are bugs that will always exist in the idea
then again, you could be talking about a semi grid movement, like in Golden Sun. it was a bit all-over the place, but pretty refreshing to see. _________________ If we were a pack of dogs, IM would be a grand Hound, CN would be a very ficious little pitball, and Giz...well, it doesn't matter breed he is, he'd still be a bitch
(no offense to anyone that was mentioned) |
