I don't see how a "Problem" can be called violence. Viloence would be if I punched PHC in the face. "Violent" by definition, is an act of agression, or anger, during which one attempts to inflict anguish on another, usually physically. I would argue that insults are not violent. Some of you people have a very over-stimulated sense of violence, or are just being idiots, in at least one case. Just because a person has a problem does not mean that violence has been inflicted, nor that they have to answer it violently. Suppose your car gets a flat tire? That was not an act of violence, and to fix it, you could either go rough up a mechanic, tie him up, and make him fix it, or get the jack and fix it yourself. In the second case, there's no violence, yet the problem is solved. |

That reminds me. Is jacking off violence? It's a situation when you see a naked chick online and start massaging your glands until you relieve yourself of pent up sexual tension, right?
PS: I was thinking, "Roller Coaster Tycoon wasn't violent, but then a roller coaster flew off the tracks and into a lake followed by a giant fire-ball and horrible screams... _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

Jacking off is only violence if you use sandpaper. |

Railroad Tycoon - There is no violence, only financial competition.
Sheep Rancher - Still no rebuttal on this one, eh, guys?
Scary Game - And while we're on the subject, there is violence to vegetables in this game (depending on your costume), but that's about it. _________________

That's a quite good definition about violence, but I know better. The following is based on true story:
Imagine the situation. It's 8-10 pm. You are on a forum (guess, which of them ). You are currently finishing a reply of a misunderstood message and you're annoyed and the whole day has been from somewhere very deep. You are about to press the "submit" -button. Your little brother comes and pulls the wire off so hard, the adapter almost brakes. That was the final. You close your laptop, rise it above your head and smash it towards your brothers head. He weeps and cries and disappears to WC. You try to open it again. Failure in system. You'd like to itroduce your computer to your very dear friend Mr. Fist, which you do. YOu smash and smash and finally you give up and start to do something else. _________________ All activity has been moved to Polarsoft |

Sheep Rancher was a puzzle-game, not an RPG. And, yeah, wasn't there a wolf?
And Scary Game had a game in which the hero was attacked by ghosties. It might have been the hero playing a video game, but still. |

The topic has long drifted, Unc. SG's not an RPG, either.
Wolves aren't inherently violent. You have to reach down pretty deep to find anything violent about the wolves in SR -- it doesn't say anything about what the wolves do even if they manage to ruin your game.
I think you're thinking of SG2's ghost mini-game (SG2 was admittedly violent; there were fights). The closest thing SG had to violence was the Smashing Pumpkins minigame, where kids chased after you, ostensibly to smash your pumpkin costume. The secret costume also had the Devilbopper minigame, where you tagged little devils (again, the easy inference is that you're whacking them over the head, but that is only implied by the name). _________________
