Here's what I do when I should be taking notes.
Pen on notebook paper, though I took away the lines. If they were still there, you'd see that I drew it at about a 15 degree angle. Maybe it's because I'm left-handed.
Because you can never have enough undead warriors in an RPG... right? Pencil on blank paper. The sword is intentionally squiggly. Hopefully, with color you'll be able to tell it's rusty.
Messy... and I don't really care for the pose. You can't tell that the pokey-outy things are horns without color, either. Pencil on blank paper. |

First one: Heh. The texture leaves something to be desired. The shading is nice, though.
Second one: This skeleton looks cool, but the lack of detail steals from the feeling. Some of the bones are not segmented where they should be. The bone below the femur (forgot the name) should be segmented like the fore-arm. The pose is nice.
Third: I don't really care for the pose either... It's the feet. They aren't balancing it correctly. It looks friendly, though. _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

Well, considering it was done in pen and is about two inches across on paper, I think the first one turned out quite nicely.
The second one was drawn for use as an enemy sprite, so if it's missing some detail, that's to be expected. However, one of us needs to bone up on anatomy, if you'll pardon the pun. I'd put good money on the leg bone not being segmented. |

Google tells all: http://users.rcn.com/jkimball.ma.ultranet/BiologyPages/S/Skeleton.gif
The lower leg is clearly two bones: the tibia and fibula.
I thought the first one looked pretty interesting. I tend to like sketchy stuff though.
It's weird that the skeleton has a sword and shield but is only wearing regular clothes. Also it's kinda bland.
The last lizardy thing is not very interesting. There's nothing original about its design. There also needs to be more detail in the legs. Maybe they should have claws or something? |

Again, the sketch hides the fact that he's wearing chainmail.
But, shoot! I must have dozed off in that particular anatomy class. |

I don't know what Leroy's talking about with texture on the first one, but the third one really looks like a goat. I'd agree with Iblis on the blanness of the skeleton. It's definitely the clothes. |

I don't see where you get a goat from the third one, but I don't like it anyway.
Time for more!
Pen on a very small piece of notebook paper. The drawing is about 2 cm across. Inspired by an Asian's girl in my government class, who has hauntingly beautiful eyes.
Pencil, still very small, but considerably bigger than the last one.
What was that rule about RPGs? Something like "know your audience"? Anyway, I'm sure this will look even better colored. Pencil.
I'd like to point out that these are very rough sketches, done in very little time. The longest one so far was the girl, who took me probably about half an hour of not paying much attention, though ten minutes of that was doing touch work on her. |

Yes, they look very good. well done
Just that sea monster thing's tail needs some work. It needs to flow more constantly from big body to the small tip. _________________
