I'm working on one. |
That's what I used. The problem was that Photoshop isn't very good at working with small pallets. _________________ "Everyone has 200,000 bad drawings in them, the sooner you get them out the better."

I can understand that all too well. I'd recommend the GIMP, less expensive (as in, free), and has all the features you'd expect. Then again, don't worry too much about not having the correct colors, I'll do any patching to the pixels/palette on any images that get included. Or I'll have the engine load your own custom palette along with the image. So, the only requirements is you have is the entire thing must fit in an 8-bit palette, and you should have at least 2-4 colors reserved within that palette for the overlaid text/menu. I'm enjoying the ideas as they come, this most recent one is a good design; simple, yet gives that "advanced" look. It's above my CGI skills, to say the least.

Here is my second entry (The first might as well be void)
Here it is slightly watercoloured. So it sinks back and feels more like a background than a picture.
They are both in .gif format (To keep with the 8-bit thing) and are 320X200.
Hope these are ok.
I see the others. They all looking great. Its good when there is competition around. Creates hard-workers. _________________

Not sure. So far there's (effectively) two entries for this contest. I'm sure there must be other artists working on this; the current entries are nice, but wouldn't y'all like to be responsible for some little part of this project's history? If all else fails, I'll use the two here, and make one or two more in addition; my artwork is relatively lousy (which explains, in part, the total lack of me ever posting any RPG project I've ever done, either in OHR or anywhere else).
