One more month till the contest starts. By this point, you should be considering what to do for your entry, along with actually planning it out. Once again, you *CAN* start Early, and for those who choose to start now, you only loose ONE vote/point. |

Fen, questions.
1)How many points would I lose if i managed to get a copy of Chance Game and use that as my entry?
2)Do you have a copy of the game? _________________ A broken clock is still right twice a day. |

Hello. My name is SDHawk. You may remember me (but probably don't, as I am the most obscure person in the universe) from such classics as Final Fantasi XXX aka the game that swept the first terrible games contest by storm. You know, the real first one. Before Fenny here blatlantly stole the concept and made a bastardation of it and proceded to drive it into the ground by having it every other month.
I had no desire to enter any of these bastard contests with your "terrible games", or ever touch this forum again. However, moogle1 here has shown me that there is truly one who understands the word terrible and I must finally defend my rightful position. Yes, I know, I've joked about FFXXX-2 so many times it's an empty threat, but I mean it this time.
Love,
Hawk |

It is a success on so many fronts.
I challenge you all to a contest of Terrible, for I am still suffering playtesting headaches from my own game! (I think Iblis has played it more times than me by now, though.) _________________

(entirely different point and important enough for a new post)
Quote: | *3* You are only allowed to release your completed abomination to the public on April 30th. This is primarily to allow everyone an equal shot at the prizes, and also to not intimidate potential contestants into dropping out. You may however post spoilers, and screenshots, etc., so long as you do not leak your game early. If you pass it to a few friends/rivals/whatever ahead of time, then I'll be officially taking a "Don't ask, don't tell" policy, but your game must be released on the 30th of April. IF you release your entry ahead of time, then for every month ahead of the due date, it will be penalized one point. |
So, on top of the penalty for working early, Moogle also gets -2 for releasing 2 months early? I'm assuming the early release penalty includes the month of April, otherwise, there's no penalty for releasing it on April 1st, thus making the planned date worthless. _________________

Whoops, I'd forgotten about that. I'll take -2; it's not a big deal. (I started the game on March 1, if you're wondering.) _________________

1 - Probably way too many at this point. You're going up against people who've been working on their entry non-stop since December, and deciding to just start now with a project you started way before then but haven't touched until now is like shooting yourself in the foot. As I said before, the amount of time you've got invested in your project will definately work for or against you. If after 5+ months, you've only got maybe 5 minutes of gameplay, then those'd better be the best 5 minutes of OHR ever, or else you'd have to work really hard to catch up. The ball's in your court on this issue, though if I were in your shoes, I'd be best starting over.
2 - Nope. I've got OHRadius and my own contest entry, and nothing else. |

And it is some of the BEST 4 minutes of OHR I've ever played. |
