I hear music when playing OHR gamesin DosBox, but not in MS-DOS. I have Windows XP Professional. I think I read somewhere how to get sound in MS-DOS, but I can't remember.

Can anyone here tell me how to get sound for OHR games in MS-DOS?

You will be needing this little program.

http://www.castleparadox.com/forum/download.php?game=137

The VDMS program allows the music to run normally under windows XP. After installing it, right click on game.exe and select 'Run with VDMS'.

hope that helps.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

I really needed that. DosBox runs games far too slow.

Hmmm....why did GAME.EXE freeze up? It happened once, The game music was still going, but the game froze. This never happened in DosBox...

Did it occur on the hour? That seems to happen to some people under VDMS.

It happened on the hour, yes.

Another time, it was only a few minutes after I started the program.

Any way to fix this?

Not really. Dosbox or no-vdms seem to be the best solutions.
