a necromaniac (from the more common word necromania) is someone who has an obsession with death (necromania is the obsession itself), and necrophiliac is as above defined, one step above pedophiliac (yes, above. the dead are less to be respected than children, i guess). so it's possible he was right the first time. _________________ Tower Defense Game |

It's also a film by Ed Wood.
Either way, what a lame character trait. |

.. Alright. Lets do this one reply at a time.
| arathol wrote: | | In terms of your "contest", though, I'm not going to be submitting any walkabout characters unless you amend the clause in your contest rules regarding possible cameos. I'd like to reserve all rights to any submissions I may make, insofar as appearances in OHR games. |
All entries are subject to a possible cameo in one of my games, provided the entrant gives his/her express permission beforehand.
| Rolling Stone wrote: | My favorite contest of this variety was a music contest where the winner(s) would be featured in a game by the host.
And now I'll start a similar contest: Make a great game. The winner will have the honor of myself putting my name on the game and pretending I was the one who made it. |
Wrong. Granted, I hope the person I want to enter enters to make my life easier, but if not, I'll do that character meself.
| Fenrir-Lunaris wrote: | | I take it you mean that by submitting an entry, you'd utilize them in a future game? Some people may not enter just because of this. Could you clarify this for us? |
For me to use them, you have to say that I can. By default, if you enter and I want to use yours, I'll ask by PM uness you say otherwise in your entry.
| Gizmog1 wrote: | | By entering the contest, you're giving him permission. |
Should've thought of that sooner.
| Moogle1 wrote: | | It's a trick contest anyhow. I'm already in more OHR games than anyone but the heroist bunch (Fyre included here), some of which are my own. OHRer's Noel -- there, that's my entry. |
You don't have to enter if you don't want you to, and if you don't care if you show up in one of my games, you gave to declare it.
| Leroy_Leo wrote: | | The guilty party (Raekul and or friends) pretty much faltered on his/her (their) scheme when he/she (they) stated that it must be able to be imported. A better approach would have been to say what dimensions he/she (they) needed, and use what would have been given from there. This contest may even have taken off, if things had been carried out differently. However, releasing the game to the public would have also had dire consequences. Either way, it doesn't look good for Raekul(s). I suggest further action be taken later. Let someone else host a contest similar to this in the future. |
No, I thought this one up on my own. Also, | Quote: | | A better approach would have been to say what dimensions he/she (they) needed, and use what would have been given from there. Could you elaborate on that?
Right. So now, the rules read:

Contest ends next Saturday.
Your submission has to be 20x20 pixels.
One entry per screen name.
I would prefer facing south, but just no north facing pics.
All entries are subject to a possible cameo in one of my games, provided the entrant gives his/her express permission.

Oh what the hell.
As I said, I stole my screenie from my character, I also stole his image. He is a necromancer (death magic guy), so I did mean necromaniac. He raises dead, not lays them. I had to increase its size so you could see it properly. as a result, the colours have gone a bit funny. Here it is again in its tiny state.

No, I'm entered. Play OHRer's Noel for my entry. If you really really want it in a standard graphics format, use Ysoft's graphics exporter utility. _________________

There ya go, I'm the fiery redhead trapped in the fridge. Great contest, man. (If you use any of my other graphics, I will cut you.) |

Hm... Custom isn't working... I'm going to need to try to fix it. I guess I'm out. _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

Right! Judging starts as soon as I can get the graphics out into whatever I need to get them into. _________________ A broken clock is still right twice a day. |
