Link, pull your head out of your ass. Take a look: She didn't even change the presentation of the character, pose, light source, anything else. She just drew the same character with a different "Faceplate", the gamut of typical "Anime" expressions. There's no significant change in pose, no significant display of emotion, nothing at all even remotely that comes near conveying the suggested emotions.

Giz, it obvously took alot of work, this is a community site that was meant to help people, for people to share their ideas and games with the world, not bludgeon them to death with insults. Instead try letting her know in a nice way that it needs some work, not insult it into the floor!

I don't like it, why should I have to put on a bullshit happy face and smear lovey dovey bullshit chocolate all over her? It's too goddam generic. The poses aren't at all distinctive. And people respond better to "Fuckin' idiot" than they do to "Oh, poor baby, let me see where it hurts, oh mama won't let them hurt you anymore." you ninny!

The focus of this entry was to portray the four (five if you count the generic pose) emotions
through the facial expressions. Due to limited space on the page, I intentionally overlooked
the full-body poses in favour of emphasising the faces. Also, I chose to draw all five pictures on
the same page because they're all tied together by a common ground - they're all of the same
character.

Silent, what I mean is, they're all bland. You could've done each one on a different page, and made it much more impactful, with different backgrounds and lighting, and made it much better and more effectively highlight their character instead of just "MAKE HIS EYES GOOGLY! FUNNY!"

EDIT: Oh yeah, and Linkmax: Stifle yourself there!

Gah! I forgot to work on this! I really like the idea for this contest, but I better get off my butt (and borrow a scanner from somewhere) if I want to enter. Anyway, I have the perfect character for this, as he's actually multiple souls trapped in one body.

Also, this was asked before, but never really answered: Is it ok for the character to be from an unreleased game? Because otherwise I'll have to do the robot from my old 48 hour game.

Edit: The first one is done, and turned out pretty well. I just have to upload it somewhere. I might actually use it as the evil one, as he kind of has a sneer on his face, but I have a different idea for that one.
