Sorry for my absence. I was going to suggest that you download MIRC.
That what a lot of people are using. I too once used the Java chat, but it didn't quite sync up to MIRC. The MIRC is really easy to use, like riding a bicycle. Sign on to a server, type #join and the name of the channel you want to join (which is either Castle paradox or paradox lounge). There. I hope that prevents problem in the future for ya'.

a simple problem, it may be because of your popup blocker, in which refuses to COMPLETELY open the window in which Java is in, if you are opening a java window, press and hold ctrl while opening the window, if the java application is not a window, sorry, I cannot help you

First off, MIRC is not a Java program. Additionally, it's nothing in the browser.
