Very nice moogs, like to see it finished. It seems that the program has some issues with secreen resolution. Trying to play it on a low resolution causes enormous amounts of flickering (seizure anyone?). Of course, I tried it on my brothers crappy laptop, which refuses to change resolution at all. Anyway, my entry died in its infancy. It was going to be a card based combat system, similar to that of many card cames using an atb system. A basic attack would steal a card from the opponent, and all damage was done using cards in your inventory. I'm going to adopt this into my Epic Marathon entry instead, as I have much of the system planned out.

Good luck to you all!

Here is my entry, admittedly 1 hour past the grace period.

Sorry for the random-movement AI. I started on the AI only a couple of hours ago.

Me and Jabber are planning a second release to finish and fix it.

168 hours was too little time for me to adapt. I had a couple of half-ideas ready, but when the theme was announced, I couldn't really make them fit, so I tried to think of something else. By the time Tuesday came around I realised that I was never going to get anything done in time, so turned to other things.

I still don't have an idea, by the way. Happy

Okay, we'll give a week for voting. Vote for all three games, please, in 3-2-1 format (making sure everyone can tell which game is your #1 choice). First is worth three points, third is worth one.

Voting will close a week from today.

I'm told there are some compatibility issues with this game. Make sure you have DirectX before playing. If that doesn't change the resolution settings, let me know.

I've decided to deduct an insubstantial 3 votes from the late entry, by the way.

You need A) Windows and B) DirectX.

I have both.
Maybe it's because my soundcard is somewhat screwed up. A lot of progams that would use it don't work, e.g. all large modern games and windows media player don't open.

You also need to support 24-bit color depth at 800x600 resolution. Maybe I should've switched it to 16-bit; it seems a lot of people have problems with this.

I'm extending voting out another week as a result of the CP downtime.

My votes are as follows:

#3: OHR Trading Card Game, The
(The layout/design of the cards is beautiful, but sadly, there's not much else to do here. Good job on the art, however.)
#2: Crystal Souls Prelude: Demo
(Very nice, plus it had more than one main objective in the game).
#1: Pheoret
(Even though it was incomplete, I can see a lot of possibilities to make this into a great game indeed. Plus I know how hard you two worked on this, even minutes before the contest closed. Well done).

A vote for Airship 2600 is a vote For Great Justice.

I have to say, Moog's entry is very interesting and hs potential.
Ever planning on doing a full version?

Also, TMC's enry looks interesting too, I'll get around to playing that sometime.

Ecpect my votes probably tomorrow.
