On behalf of RMZ.
And Rimudora has another non-joke entry. _________________

*sigh*...
you all saw this coming, but I'm sorry anyway. I'm going to have to drop out of the contest. Due to my sickliness recently I've missed just a bit too much school, and I'm getting behind. I really hope this contest succeeds, as I think it's a great idea, and good luck to all those competing. Sorry once again. _________________ Ssalamanderr's Journal!: http://www.livejournal.com/users/ssalamanderr/

That's okay Ssalamanderr. You should worry about catching up in your schoolwork first. After all, that is more important. _________________ "There will always be people who will tell you they hate what you made, or like what you made, and will tell you that what you did was wrong or right."

Rimudora,
Okay, I see.
I checked out your true entry and I have to say that if you finish even one element of the story, you'll have made this contest worth it. Nice tech demo. I look forward to seeing the finished version.
Moogle,
I think it would be better to see if RMZ needs the extension since it'll be his game.
On a side note, if too many people drop out because of timing issues, I may just extend it that extra month to give them a chance to come back in. But only if they think they can do it in November.
I'm more interested in seeing results than I am in keeping deadlines, so I'll lean toward the extension to factor in the seesaw participants if I have to.
Ssalamander, that'll include you if you still want in.
Just, guys, please don't abuse this. I don't want an event similar to the first contest. I'd like to have this finished before the year ends.
And anything is better than last year's outcome... _________________ Progress Report:

I'd definitely consider entering this contest if there was an extension of the deadline. As it stands now, there's no way I can do any work OHR-wise until the end of November (due to classes/subsequent finals) . But even then, I most likely won't have enough time to do a decent entry in three weeks. So it's your call, Pepsi Ranger. _________________ Current Projects:

Well, I say this on behalf of RMZ as well, knowing that he and I both want to be somewhat ambitious with our game. We have been working fairly closely on it. _________________

Does it have to be a custom battle engine? Cause if not I may still be able to make something, I'm just not good at battle scripts.. _________________ ANIME FREAK!!!!!! LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL DIS RO><ORS!!!

I have a good start on my maptiles. Starting with the city, there will be two versions of each tileset. (You'll see why ;P ). Every objective besides the custom battle engine will be worked in, I already know how I will work in all locations and EVERY plot detail. Including the Dog eating tangerine speech ^__^ This will be big, may have to release a demo if not done. Hope I get it in before november... _________________ ANIME FREAK!!!!!! I must agree with Moogle. We are putting 110% into this game and we would love to be able to finish it and give it everything we've got. So, yeah, I'm asking for more time too. _________________ ---------------Projects----

Sorry guys, I'm out. Messing around with this has caused me to start falling behind in my uni work, and my parents have decided to camp at my place for a week. Still, I've come up with a few ideas from it and will probably use them in a later game. Good luck to the rest of you. |
