not quite art, but i am hacking contra for nes. included are the blocks in stage one. some are missing because they are just blocks with random tiles, and not really a rational tsa. i'm guessing they are rationally assembled, just are for use in other stages. i haven't gotten into stage 2 data(hell, i've only got one screen of level 1 done so far ).
i also need to find out what is going on with the boss in the stage. it might be just sprites.
hopefully bouche will help me by setting up a level editor or something from all this data, but then again, he is more of a hex guy.. and seems pretty lost in his japanese shows.
ah well, should be fun. i've got all the addresses for the title screen(as well as the intermission and game over screen) done so far, but i don't think ram addresses quite count as art. |

*sighs* Oh, the memories. Memories of having to watch my brother play this and every other game he had for the NES...
Are you making something with all of this information for the OHR engine, or through raw programing/ some other method? _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

Where do you get that from his post? He didn't say that at all. _________________

Well, I asked MCW if he was making an OHR version of Contra.
Read more carefully, Philly. The floor is hot lava! :o _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

turns out the chunks of jibberish i was talking about were parts of the boss. i need to experiment with the other missing blocks, and there are other parts in that i'm unsure of what exactly they are, and i'm assuming based on their arrangement that they're blocks for the.. tunnel of sorts that you go through. i need to do more experimentation.
already started on editing stage 2, anyways, haha. |
