I have an idea for a kind of neat contest, but I'm not sure what anyone would think. I also don't have access to any kind of prizes. I was inspired by this thread http://www.castleparadox.com/viewjournaltopic.php?t=158

Anyway, the idea would be, taking a sprite, any sprite, from we'll say any game, and modifying it to be nude. There's some copyright issues, and of course, the question of whether you guys are mature enough to handle a ontest like this. Maybe if we got permission from game makers? I for one, would put any of my sprites onto the table.

As long as we give credit where it is due, there shouldn't be a problem.
SquareEnix doesn't need any more money from our people anyway. Am I right?

Hm. That is a point, I guess. So long as you say "Copyright so and so, used without permission, editing done by so and so" I think it'd probably be fine. And if we promised to delete it if the companies complained.

This is definately too much in the gray area. I'd encourage some other kind of outlet for your artistic abilities, lest you end up like me. Oookay...

That being said, while not against the art form rules per-se, there's far too many people who'd be easily offended by pixelated nudity to run this for long without a complaint. Obviously, you'd link to it off-site, and naturally the topic is indeed marked not-worksafe, so perhaps I could see some justification for allowing this to pass.

Unless anybody has any objections, I'll allow this on two conditions:

(A) Any complaints directed to me about this contest for whatever reason gets it immediately locked down. I get one PM from Insecure McVirginpants, and the show's over.

(B) NO DEPICTIONS OF SEXUAL ACTS PERIOD.

Okay, so lemme just formalize the other rules. We'll say this lasts, I don't know, 2 weeks. That'd make it end on the 35th of November, or for those still constrained by the Roman Calendar, 4th or 5thish of December.
