We already have a thread where people can introduce themselves if they want to. Why spook 'em off if they don't want to? If they want us to know who they are, they'll let us know in time. 'till then, back off.

I'm against it as well.
I lurked around Zant for at least a year before I finally posted there. Some people need to study a place before they set their foot in. (Or, they could just be waiting until they have a game ready) |

Why? Do you think that members that do not post are harmful? Not at all - their registrations have no consequences and theres nothing to gain by deleting them. Except for spambot accounts, which anyone can spot without needing to ask a list of questions. Certainly, banning unactive accounts is a silly idea.
Also, why have new members introduce themselves just to an admin when they could instead be doing so to the whole forum? I'm not opposed to a welcome PM, which is quite different.

I don't particularly like to splatter my personal details all over a public forum, thanks. Plenty of other people seem happy to, so maybe it's just a hang-up of mine, but all the same it is my choice. |

Did you mean keep their minds closed and wait for the Nazis to get them?
We just don't see the necessity of such a poll here. We weren't attacking you until you attacked us first. Thanks for the suggestion in any case.
