That may not be possible. That tree is certainly not a 2x2 tile image. It looks more like a 4x5 tile tree. That would eat up a good chunk of the map's total tileset. I don't know if it would be possible to use such a large imagine that way, though I could see it being used in a map with far fewer trees in it.

Yes. Space is an issue. Organizing cleverly is the solution.

Which reminds me... I've always wanted to see a well composed "organize your tilesets" tutorial. But that's another topic...

Ignore my last tree.
Its garbage :D Garbage that had too many leaves to shade. D:

Check out SD3's first forested area. Those leaves are tiled, yet they come out looking fantastic. I count 25-30 tiles total used for the trees including trunks. Thats certainly a feesible number of tiles to use for trees when it comes to a forest tile set in the OHR.

The technique they used to keep the trees tile based while still looking 3 deminsional.. hawt. I'm going to study it and attempt to mimic it until I can do it too XD

I'm pretty sure its more n 1 tile dude.

My omly problem here is that tree is beautiful...too beautiful. I dunno I feel like forest tree (considering the forest is never that friendly in rpgs) are gonna be a bit more...well...ugly,gritty,foreboding. That tree looks like an old ladie lives nearby and trims it everyday to perfection.

its still an awsome tree though

Kain u better stop posting graphics like this. All these good pictures raising the standard for what we expect the game to be. And with these graphics I feel it'll be damn good.

So... you think he should try to lower people's expectations? I'm guessing you're joking, but even if you are...

lol
Don't judge a book by its cover. All in all, its just an average OHR game in the making. (Well.. ok maybe a little above average. The integrated card game/ability-system Shaede came up with is pretty hawt.)

You really shouldn't be so modest. An average OHR game isn't worth playing.

I'm glad he is being so modest, otherwise I'd be all over the place flaunting the awesomeness of the game. He keeps me in check. =)

Getting closer. I am still having some edging issues to kink out, but the trees look much better than any other attempt I've made so far.

Got too used to it and could never bring myself to upgrade.
