I wasn't sure if I should at first, but I've finally decided to share my music (for real this time).
Here's the most latest track I'm working on, called Venture to Prevail. It is vastly incomplete, and I figure at its current stage, it's well enough for listening, but I'll leave it at that. It's sort of a teaser or appetizer, in which I hope to get you enticed for an upcoming game.

Feels very film score-ish.
I don't know, to me, it seems that some of the instruments you used (namely the percussion) seem to give the piece an ambiguous feeling. At the opening, it seems very tribal, but when the snare and Crash Cymbals come in, it feels American-ish (By which I probably mean military.) I'm not certain what the scene in the game is. Even though, I still think it's very good and sets a very nice mood.
Btw, what do you use for your samples? I'm really digging the a lot of the sounds. _________________ Calehay |

I like the tom-toms and rain stick. Excellent quality.
Well, although it's not very catchy, it does have strength in certain areas.
For example, I think the percussion really drives energy and power into this song. The instrumentation was arranged in an interesting fashion, but I am somewhat confused on the feeling you are trying to express at times. It feels sort of triumphant, yet sad. It's arranged very much like a quicky symphony. Not at all bad for the first song I've heard from ya'. Also, an mp3... ((That's another person who has made an Mp3 before me. Bah.))
The greatest weakness is probably that it feels very dragged out, stretched, like taffee. When it picks up, it slows down and does this many times. That's what makes it feel stretched, I believe. Most songs are organized in a Fast transition to slow transition to fast sort of arrangement, which ties the beginning to the end. It's good to experiment, though. The last thing is the instruments seem to have trouble finding a solid melody... Or maybe it's just me.
I Hope you include this into our growing music list. _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

It's supposed to be for a long conflict after an earthquake.
The rainsticks and disruptive nature of the song (shifting melodies and unpredictiveness) gives some chaos to the mood and does not allow you to flow smoothly with this song. You feel lost or maybe even confused, as anyone would after such a disasterous event. |
